DilusiveOnd_kajacan you remove class limits from the config? it's standard to keep them off for non-lobby games
Honestly I see no reason to remove the class limits. If they are expected in the format why not just enforce it config side rather than relying on everyone to adhere to it?
You are correct, it is actually standard to have class limits ESPECIALLY in matches

It's just a massive pain in the ass that you can't switch to forward spawn by changing class to pyro because someone else in your team already did it. Also, if someone is dead on a class you are planning to switch to and it would exceed the class limit, you have to wait for him to respawn on another class to be able to do it.

Not in Europe. You just played in an international LAN tournament that doesn't have class limits.

PermzillaIt would be great if the brackets could be adjusted to allow for the extra signups. Currently in Round 2 the matchups are:
#1 vs #3
#5 vs #7
#2 vs #4
#6 vs #8
Which sort of ruins the semi-finals since 2 of the top 4 seeds are knocked out before then. A more sensible matchup list would be:
#1 vs #8
#2 vs #7
#3 vs #6
#4 vs #5
It wasn't a huge problem when there were <8 teams but if the signups continue to increase it will be a problem
I definitely realize the issue with the seed positions in the bracket. Dev team has been notified of it and are working out a fix.

Just some thoughts on how in my opinion you can make this platform a bit easier to play on, and by extension probably more popular.
The website is causing fps lag in game when in the ready up mode, I don't know what it is in particular but it seems like there's some flashy stuff going on that could probably be simplified to not cause performance issues for people. You can't close the tab and the lag isn't conducive to warming up or playing between maps for important games.
I've had two bugs from the server plugin - one where I don't hear the announcer count down before the game starts, and I think because you ready up through the chat there's no sound effect when a team readies or unreadies so you can get caught out if you're used to tabbing out and listening for when teams ready.
The other one is the options menu for readying up stays open for the whole warmup and blocks the weapon binds on my mouse buttons. One round tonight it stayed open once the game started and stopped me switching to medigun, I had to scramble to close the menu with one of the number keys. I don't know if other people have problems with these menus and the way your binds are set up but I don't want them anywhere near my competitive tf2.
Not trying to start a debate about the weapon pickups but my input: you're going to get teams that aren't going to want to use this feature, seeing as nobody is using it practice games and it's currently disallowed in most other competitions, so while the 6v6 community as a whole doesn't use this feature, by allowing it you're going to create a lot of situations where you have one team using it and one team choosing not to, or one team being less prepared or experienced at using it, factors which have no impact outside of their Razer games. I guess there are concerns over how you'd regulate it since there's no time between fixtures but it's really best overall to ban it and give people the benefit of the doubt, that is if your plugin can't block it.
These are just issues that I think create a night of fiddly gameplay for serious teams at any level who want to get the most out of every night they play.
Deathyoh yeah i wanna play against 2 demos or 3 scouts sounds fun
No, he's saying the class limits make it inconvenient to change classes when in the rules class limits only apply in play / outside spawn. Again, give people the benefit of the doubt for the sake of a better/easier/funner experience playing the game.

Except the lack of class limits makes it easier for those rules to be broken. I don't know about in the EU cups, but in the NA cups there are multiple times where the skill level of teams that signed up are decently far apart, and without class limits there's nothing stopping a lower level team who is getting rolled by a higher level team to recognize they cant win, and use the last few rounds to troll by all going demoman or something dumb. Even if you play against that and get a default win for them breaking the rules, it still won't be enjoyable to play against.
If you want a better/easier/funner experience, taking measures to prevent any form of trolling like that would probably take priority over the 2 second frustration of not forward spawning because you clicked the wrong class in my opinion.

People don't typically break the class limits like that in official games and if they do it can be reported and action is taken retroactively. This is as I mentioned a bit different as there's no time between matches for the admins to look over those things but I'm talking about the viability of this being a thing multiple keen teams play high stakes matches in, the sort of thing you wouldn't want to get defaulted or banned from. I'm sure they didn't put on tournaments with prize money to have a handful mix teams fucking around twice a week. At the moment people are saying 'I can't be bothered signing up for a razer tournament for xyz reasons' and class limits seem to be one of those reasons.

It's not really a huge issue to need to change to a different class when forward-spawning: if you use the scoreboard you can see which classes are currently in use and simply not swap to one of them. Even if you did misclick it's a two second delay. On the other hand, not having hard-coded class limits IS easily exploitable, at least by NA rules.
Ond_kajaAlso, if someone is dead on a class you are planning to switch to and it would exceed the class limit, you have to wait for him to respawn on another class to be able to do it.
This is how that works in NA, and totally makes sense. Is it fair for a team holding last to have a scout switch to medic after their med gets picked and crit-heal buff everyone? Seems ridiculous to me and of course devalues med-picks. Without hard-coded class limits it would be easy for a team holding near a spawn (think on any last but granary or badlands valley) to have someone switch to medic a second or two before the real medic spawns, buff through the spawn door, and switch back, or heal the side of spawn that the medic won't be rolling out of, and the other team might not ever notice. Also let's say you're pushing last 2v3 vs a demo and 2 scouts, if you pick both scouts should their demo be allowed to play scout? Seems unfair to me, on certain lasts like gully it's basically having three scouts in the fight. Hard-coding it has objective benefits whereas leaving it up to player-discretion is easily abusable and debatable.

lmao i don't think you need to post anymore about whether class limits should be on or not; it's already a given they should be.
Great to see EU are pretty consistent with playing these little comps. Thanks again Razer!

has the pause been fixed yet? :D
2 game we played we needed to pause and .pause (or anything else we tried) didnt work
maybe we were just too stupid to figure out the correct command but i dont really see anything else other than .pause be suitable to request a pause :D

With regard to the class limits, I understand the argument for taking it off. This platform (Razer Arena) is being setup for multiple organizers, we have to address match management with as much automation as possible. We don't want to bog down organizers with disputes which require them to review demos and count the number of scouts at 20 minutes into game. I personally never want to do this and I don't want another organizer to have to do this either.
If there is a legitimate reason why having class limits hard set is wrong, I will certainly hear it out. From what I understand it seems that what is wanting to be achieved can be easily accomplished with a different set of actions that take very minimal time.
With that said and with the requirements we have in place for the platform I see no reason to remove the class restrictions.

Concretehas the pause been fixed yet? :D
We have fixes in place for the pause that make it smooth and buttery. :P
These fixes also include limitations to the quantity and duration of pauses per match.
I would hope that we can have said fixes in place for Sunday's matches.

Double elimination has been completed and we are working on swiss now. We need to find someone to run DE events; we most likely will run some ourselves, but not for these Frag Fest cups. I would like to keep them achievable within a day. It wouldn't be possible to run a 16 team DE in a few hours.
Nevertheless, be on the lookout as they will be ran soon enough.

If the website is causing performance issue for you in game, please close it down. You can always make your way back to your match lobby at the end of your match or should you need assistance. If you need assistance while in game you do not need to come back to the site, though. You can simply type .admin and I will typically respond via game chat relatively quickly.
Admittedly, the site could use performance tweaks it is on the to-do list.

I will be looking into why the ready menu would stay open after the match has gone live. As you have already discovered, you can close the ready menu at any time by pressing 0. If you need to reopen it you can do so by typing .readymenu.

As soon as it is indicated whether weapon pickups will be permitted or not in the main leagues we will follow suit. There was a lengthy discussion on this topic a while ago and it was made evident to me that I should not restrict it. If it is determined that weapon drops / pickups are not desired we will remove them via configs.

While the weapon pickup situation was in flux a while back when you decided to allow it, every league has now banned it completely. Valve has also been informed about this and are looking into it, but may or may not change anything.
While the situation around weapon pickups may change in the future pending valve input, at the moment it should be banned if it's possible through your mod.
