This is awesome! Who is going?
Hellbent:o
i dont see anything about tf2 though
They say they are still figuring out the smaller events. If we get enough people I'm sure they would organize something.

This sounds very exciting, don't see many LANs happen in the Vancouver area so I am definitely going.
Bought my ticket. Messaged them about maybe doing some sort of ultiduo or mge event.

Sucks they had to cancel.
However, if you want to have your own LAN in the meantime, there's nothing stopping you. Having a successful TF2 LAN or two behind you may better convince LANcouver to host TF2 should they run an event in the future.
I'm not sure what you guys have in the way of venues out there. In Toronto, we have the Hunter-Lucas eSports club, where I held TLAN. Having a venue like that eliminates a lot of worries such as how to sort out networking, so if you can find something like that, it's a huge bonus.
If not, as long as you know how to get networking logistics sorted out (I can't help you with that), you just need a space like a community gym, where you can put tables and chairs and lots of cables for a day or two.
