for running shoes I love Altra zero-drop shoes (look this up if you run, improved my posture and enjoyment of running immensely), personally use the 3-sum because they're so light.
for casual shoes I like vans or adidas (sambas usually)

used to be mad into trading/selling theres always mad expos in NYC n like the local scene is just crazy I had 30+ pairs at one point.

always used to fuck with nike AF1s, air max, SBs, Js, (fuck retro tho the quality really is abysmal, the oreo retro 4s that released in feb the leather was literally plastic)

Supras/osiris/zoo york were great when i used to skate all those shoes are destroyed now

I actually really love adidas orriginals the chinese new year 2012 high tops are like the most comfortable shoes i own. honestly so much nicer than any Js both build quality and comfort

seriously tho.. if ur a sneakerhead nike is on the downfall as fas as quality.. check out the adidias original releases.. they are reasonable too compared to the retro js..
