Pretty freaking excited, but considering it comes out on like the day after my first exam and I don't want to fail, I'm going to have to drop off the internet until the Saturday when everything is over. :(

personally the biggest hype about a videogame in a loooong while (the last one was Rebirth)
and as many people stated in youtube comments and pretty much everywhere, the way Bethesda advertise the game and the marketing for this game is just awesome, all this content around only few glimpses of gameplay buildы up the hype with such effectiveness that you should give credit just for that

Wallet ready? Day 1 DLC?

Bethesda has never pushed day 1 DLC, and consistently the DLC they do release comes about half a year later in the form of real expansion packs, and isn't priced horribly. It also ALWAYS comes out AFTER the modding tools (Creation Kit / GECK) are released. They're one of the few studios that do it right.

EDIT: If you meant about my wallet being ready, I preordered with Amazon, so I don't actually get billed until it ships.

Fallout 4 is coming out in a few days. I'm concerned about the dialogue wheel. I remember when I was playing through Mass Effect I thought that it would be so much better if there was a game with Fallout mechanics and dialogue in the Mass Effect universe, so it's disappointing to see it go the opposite direction. On the other hand I've heard the shooting is improved, so we'll see. New power armor seems cool too. Not going to be a day 1 purchase for me, I'm waiting for the first big sale after there's a reasonable amount of mods out.

I really like the fallout series, so it's a shame that they seem to be dumbing it down like Skyrim by removing skills, and other things of that nature. It's still probably going to be a ton of fun, and I am hyped, but I wish it will be more like New Vegas than Fallout 3. New Vegas felt a lot like the first two games in a very good way, and Fallout 3, while still a fun game, was more like Oblivion with guns.

The new mod system looks really cool though, that'll be a good added feature at least.

Reviewers have hinted that they've put a lot of time in. A Forbes article said something like 50 hours this week. Says he's going to put even more time in while waiting for the review embargo to end. That testimonial elevated my hype quite a bit.

The subreddit /r/fo4 has been seriously on top of the leaks, and theres a lot of gameplay video and screenshots getting posted there. Some guy streamed on twitch for over 11 hours without getting taken down...

Apparently you can use the code SAVE20-NOVEMB-GAMING to buy things on green man gaming for 20 pecent off, including fo4. They had another specific one for fallout that I used earlier. Preload is available now as well.

review code doesn't have steam DRM, and there is review code on PC from what I can see

that or the DRM it does have is a separate appID?

iirc studios can distribute early copies through steam to reviewers accounts. I remember the PCGamer people talking about it a while ago.
