I know there's a mouse thread that was posted not even a week ago, but I didn't want to deter the conversation in there.
I currently have a Razer Taipan mouse. It's a bit small in my hands. However, the worst part is that the braided cord is fraying and leaving small hairs on my mousepad for my optical lens to vacuum up and screw up my aim. The left click also clicks down maybe 50% of the time on an average day.
Pretty garbage, sadly.
So! Zowie Mice. I've never had one before.
The ones I'm looking at are the ZA 11, 12, and maybe 13, as well as the FK1 series. I currently have a pseudo claw/fingertip/palm dealio going on. You can see what I'm doing

Pardon the shit-pictures. Christ I have old people hands.
My mouse is too small for my hands, I think. My pinkie curls under the mouse and I'm forced to have my palm raised off of the mouse.
Opinions..? I'm leaning toward the ZA 11 simply because it would force me into a 'healthier' palm grip.

Are you dead set on Zowie?
But as far as I know the FK1 and ZA 11 are both great mice while also being large enough for most hands.
I'm currently in the process of testing the Mionix Castor and the new Steelseries Rival 100 to switch from my Logitech G303 and I can say with certainty the Castor is a fantastic mouse all around that is worth a look.
Edit: Also just a consideration when looking at Zowie mice, they all(I believe) use Huano switches which will generally be a lot stiffer and require more force to press than the usual Omron switches which most mice use.

if i were you i would go for za11, it's probably the right size for you
but then again the taipan isn't that big of a mouse (deciding that from one picture so maybe i am wrong) so maybe a za12 would also be big enough

i hold my mouse the same way and i currently have an fk but going to buy the za11 soon

Yeah, I'm pretty set on Zowie. I've had people tell me over and over again that they're great.
Plus I've tried out a few of them and they're pretty slick.
I heavily considered a ton of Steelseries mice before settling on Zowie. They look rad, but have the 'hump' a bit too far forward in my opinion.

I used the FK1 when it was being hyped. But it was too small for my hands. Hands would cramp up.
Went back to the g500 (I think).
I currently use the ZA11 which is a big FK1. I love it. Great mouse.

Yeah Zowie are fantastic I was just wondering if you were aware of their stiffer actuation force as its the only reason I don't personally buy them because I like really low actuation force on mice.
ZA 11/12 should be a fine for you or the FK1 but be aware that the ZA series also has a little hump too compared to the fk series which is more streamlined

FK1 is a great mouse.
Unfortunately I had to return mine as my Mouse4 randomly stopped working one day. Only had it for 2 months =[
Seems like a bit of an outlier problem, though!

I don't think I'm too concerned about the actuation force. What I have right now is supposed to be 'really sensitive', but now requires a ton of force in order to click down due to (in my opinion) poor wear design. Booo
I think that the hump on the ZA 11/12 is a bit closer in location to what I have, but just higher in general. Which would be awesome.

I find my hand/wrist gets a little more tired with the fk1 cause its a bit small and unwieldy, my hands are medium sized and I kind of have a weird grip like yours. Sick mouse though, I'm kinda wanting to go back to an ec1 (whatever the new one is) or try the za11/12.

You guys are godlike at suggesting stuff. Thank you so much for the quick feedback.
Due to my fears of having 'too small' of a mouse and getting nasty cramps, I won't be choosing the FK1, and will be going for the the big daddy ZA11.
Thanks again, guys! I didn't expect to make my decision so quickly, but y'all sold me.
Zowie ZA11 to arrive next week!
