after ~3 years my gpu has finally bit the dust and I need to replace it
specifically it was this one
I'd like something that has similar specifications (something that will work with my AMD cpu and my 144hz monitor), however I have had awful experiences with powercolor and would prefer to buy a different brand
I've done a little looking around but most of the radeon HD 7770 cards seem to be out of stock on newegg and most of the ones on amazon are exclusively used, I'd rather buy a new card
idk what my budget is going to be exactly but cheaper is best

Best bang for your buck ATM is either a GTX 970 or a R9-390. They are both in the 350-370 USD range and amazing cards, will be able to run anything you throw at them. As for a budget card I'd go with a R9 290x myself beast as fuck and puts you in under 300 possibly 250 last time I checked.

I'm not sure how much I can actually spare for it, that's the problem. Probably can't spare much, I'm almost positive I couldn't drop $250 for anything
I have up to $200 I can spare on a new card

I agree, these two are great options.
under 200?

This will do pretty well, and it costs about 200$.

Best bang for buck is still the 290. Not within the budget at ~250$ though.
Imho 390 > 290 though.
If you could get a 290X (~390 performance) for 250 it would be absolutely untouchable.
Either way the 970 definitely isn't best bang for buck since it's slower and more expensive than the 390.

I'd recommend the R9 285 or R9 380 (same card).
