The feet on my death adder have been worn down to nothing. I went online to buy some and it costs 12 bucks + w/e shipping.

So I was wondering, how necessary are mouse feet and are there any alternatives I can use with stuff I have lying around the house?

Mouse feet are 100% a necessity, at least so you don't constantly catch on your mousepad.

http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-mousefeet
direct from razer $10 should be exactly like the original

http://www.hyperglide.net/?hg=paypal-na

$8 if you go directly from their site they do add shipping, for my location it was an extra $1.65 total cost would be $9.60

fyi though shipping is slow as hell

alternatives that I have no idea about the effectiveness of

PTFE mouse tape
http://www.amazon.com/CS-Hyde-PTFE-Mouse-Color/dp/B003DZ16X4

Mouse Feet off ebay $5 would probably be the same as the original

My DA has lost its mouse feet 5 month after i bought it, still using it 2 years later without mouse feet, wanted to buy new feet back then but was to expensive for my taste so i just continued to use it without feet, works good enough

Mouse feet are 100% a necessity, at least so you don't constantly catch on your mousepad.

never happened

it probably does wear out a mouse pad faster though since it uses way more off the underside of the mouse on the pad surface

but catching on the pad has never happened to me, if the underside off the mouse is smooth there is nothing to catch on to

also if i order from razer's site

Subtotal*: 9.99€
Est. Shipping*: 11.40€
Total: 21.39€
*Including VAT

:/

idecided that investing in a new mouse was better for me instead off putting 22 buck towards just feet, but that was almost half a year ago and i still have no clue what mouse to get, i like the shape off the DA but i kinda want a diff mouse that has the same feel or close to it

jnki_aka_tungstenyea, precise movements are harder on higher sens, so i went to a lower one

Is 6.1'' considered high, I originally played with 16-17'' then I started working my way down because it was way more comfortable to aim and I could do it for longer.

Yes I use cloth.

I have a deathadder as well and my mouse feet worn out like 1+year ago and I've been using it with no mouse feet with no problems. Don't notice much of a difference. My mousepad is a razer goliathus control edition, not sure if it helps.

you only notice it on high-ish sensitivites, and more often on sniper than what not, due to the lack of feet the friction/tension increases, you may encounter yourself struggle to adjust the scope on the target(more specifically on the head (gets even worse with range))

6.1" is considered medium to high as far as i know (but i may be completely wrong at everything i say, for i am the shitposter)

I assumed as much. One of my mouse feet just came off the other day and more precise aiming has been difficult.

Hi,

I also have a deathadder and recently bought these for a couple bucks shipped: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141682781354&alt=web

There's no difference between the black and white besides the color and thickness, I chose the 1mm because I don't want any tracking when I lift off, plus 1mm means it will take longer to wear flat. I use a cloth pad for reference. They worked for me and if they don't work for you-- then they were only a few bucks anyway. Hope this helps

I had this exact same problem with my DeathAdder black edition a few weeks ago; my feet were starting to peel and it would scratch the mousepad feeling very uncomfortable.

First I tried no mouse feet, and that was complete ass, it scratched even more, it felt like I was using my mouse on sand paper. Then I tried to buy a roll of teflon tape at the hardware store and cut out mouse feet in the same shape as the holes on the deathadder. That was also complete garbage, and didn't make it feel any better. Finally, I just took two strips of the teflon tape and covered the bottom of the deathadder in a straight line where the previous mousefeet were. That actually felt very good in comparison to all the other fixes. Ultimately though, I wound up just buying Hyper Glides. The teflon tape strips felt extremely glidey, which was fine for TF2 but made it a little bit difficult to play csgo.

I definitely recommend trying the thick strips of teflon tape method. I actually put the strips of teflon tape over the shoddy mousefeet cutouts I tried to make myself, just so that the large strips of tape wouldn't indent inwards over the holes. Also, make sure the strips of tape are long enough so that they slightly overlap onto the sides of the deathadder, otherwise the ends of the tape will scrape the mousepad and it'll feel scratchy. The roll of teflon tape cost $8 at my local hardware store.

I had a deathadder as well. If you were to buy any mouse feet, I would suggest not going with the stock. The hyper glides are so much smoother. Over time, they felt much better than the stock mouse feet, and once you get used to them, they will be worth the price. It comes with two anyway, so you'll have them until your mouse breaks (probably).

If you can get used to using no mouse feet I guess go for it. Personally, though, I would never use no mouse feet. It comes down to whether you want a really smooth surface or don't really care.

Thanks for the help, I think I'm going to pick up those super cheap ones. If they're crap I'll spring for the hyper glides.
