I just got the VG248 and it's impossible to get good colour settings right so can you people recommend some settings and also I dont understand the Trace Free option and when put to the highest everything has like a very slight light trail in my eyes

I was in the same boat as you. check out this link that includes tutorials and also discusses modifying the Trace Free thing.
