So kinda getting sick of using over-ear headphones and would like to start using something with a bit more comfort and flexibility, anyone here have recommendations for a decent Earbud/Mic combo for around £30?

Spend the rest on the best reviewed pair of earbuds you can get, for ~£20 Sony has some really good options.

I have this mic but it doesn't work very well. There seems to be static all the time. This has been the case with past mics too. Perhaps it's my sound card?

Yeah that's likely on your end. I've heard this mic perform well enough before without static. That said, it is only an £8 microphone.

If you can get the xiaomi pistons 3 for around 20 then defenitely get them, I own a pair and they're great!
se215's + blue snowball
Edit, didnt see the 30$.
I would agree with the xiaomi pistons though. I've owned 2 pairs, excellent sound quality. Just be careful where you order them from, since some amazon sellers will sell you fakes.

Per Dashner's recommendation in other threads (one link) I ordered from Penon Audio with good results. Received them in like a week and a half too, which is pretty good for international shipping.
