So I bought a new smoking hot computer in May, with an i7, a gtx 980, all that jazz, and all summer I experienced some anti surge problems caused by my power supply. My PC didn't handle it, and it broke down, I was without a pc for 2 months, until I removed the BIOs battery, and voila it was fixed. Well, now the pc is absolutely fucked, again. It shuts itself off, w/o warning, and stays off for ca 5 min, or it doesn't turn on until you remove the bios battery. The PSU fan is on, but everything else doesn't work. Sorry if this is bad written, currently stuck with phone on toilet.
If anyone have had the same problem, or are good at this shit, leave me a messagr, thanks.

That's a little overkill but it'd work.

Yes, I would say that as well. I'm only suggesting this model/wattage after regrets I had with my own build. I got the minimum power supply, and now I have to buy a new one for expansions - SLI/Crossfire/CPU.

It's not about the +frags. It's about the thought of people coming here, reading threads and -fragging useful comments just for shits. It's childish

Why would you buy a i7 and a gtx 980 and then cheap out on the PSU and then continue using the PC after it has had issues with said PSU?
Are you trying to break your new PC?

idk but the way OP sounds, he probably just got a prebuilt system and doesn't know that a bad PSU can ruin a whole system. Otherwise he would've replaced the PSU by now considering that no sane person would buy a $400 CPU and a $500 gpu and cheap out on a PSU. Plus, look at the title of the thread--he probably just didn't know.
