People aren't linking their images correctly. It's not your fault for people not understanding how images work.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but I have a similar issue where I don't see images in certain posts, only text and blank space where the image would normally be. The only way to see the image would be to quote that post and get the direct link. It's hard to tell if it's a problem with the site or an issue caused by one of my browser extensions.

The issue in the screenshot is because the imgur album page url was used instead of the direct link to the image (basically adding .png/.jpg). Internet Explorer will display 'missing/corrupt image' where chrome/firefox will just collapse the section instead.
