Holy shit you're coming to State College, PA? How random! You mean instead of liking your cool pictures on IG we can chill?
Let me know when you're coming through, add me on steam! Other TF2 players live here as well (boulder, cole etc.)

I'm from Louisville but I can't say you'd be pressed to check anything out here that you'd remember when you left but it all depends when you arrive. If you're here for Derby Week then you're in for a real treat. But if you just need a place to rest just private message me a week ahead and I will see about helping you.
If partying is your thing, 4th Street Live has a lot if great bars under one plaza.
If you like cars, the Corvette Factory and museum is about 2.25 hours south of Louisville. You can witness the C6-C7 models be built in front of you and test drive one. If it's too far, there's probably a brass tractor pull and car show at Freedom Hall that weekend. Though it's never good unless it's Carl Casper's Auto Show.
Oh, and worth noting if you like Go Karts we have two fantastic tracks to check out. We have the nation's biggest outdoor track with decent karts 30m south of the river. Then a shorter drive holds a competitive track with the fastest tier of karts you'll be legally allowed to drive anywhere on an indoor track. It's a fun track too, don't have to let off the gas at all but for two turns and you can drift pretty easily.
If you like science and art, the Frazier museum is a 5 story building owned by a wealthy individual who collects and displays artifacts from all kinds of timelines. It is a definite if you like to look at old stuff. I saw the Da Vinci display and it was a very eye opening experience.
As for sports, there's Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and it is usually hosting a good football game later that week. Then there's baseball, the Louisville Bats. They haven't won a game in like 7 years and the concessions suck so don't go if anybody asks you to. The Louisville Slugger Museum is neat though.
The KFC Yum Center is a very nice arena too, probably some concert going on or basketball game worth seeing.
Can't think of anything else like hockey or soccer you can watch here.
We have a mega cavern too. You can go on a zip line. Underground. In the dark. Fairly cheap too.
I'd say that's about all there is to see you'd have time for. We have tons of great restaurant choices. Pizza, wings, burgers, sushi, noodles, fish, deep fried anything, you ask for it we've got something you need.

I can possibly get over to Victoria BC for beers or something. I live on a smallish island nearby. What kind of outdoorsy stuff are you interested in?

I would definitely recommend you hit up Prince's Hot Chicken or Puckett's while your in Nashville. Also, I don't know if you are going to be visiting Pigeon Forge (it's about a 45 minute drive from Knoxville), but if you are, I would highly recommend you check out the WonderWorks Indoor Amusement Park.

I made a Tumblr for my pictures btw.
http://kubablog.tumblr.com/
I'll be trying to put 2 or more recent pictures a day and some old ones maybe :D Though I didn't have a good camera until 2 weeks ago, so they may be poor quality.
Unfortunately I have my finals in less than a month so I've been only able to take pictures around Warsaw and in Poznań which is the other major city in Poland :D Make sure you follow it once I get to America, if you want some outsider perspective on the places you know so well :P

Sorry for bumping this thread so often, but I have some exact dates now! And I'll be buying bus tickets tomorrow since I got some money for my birthday today :)
For New York it's 20.05-23.05, Pittsburgh 24.05-26.05 and Cleveland 26.05-27.05.
I'll be with a friend in New York most of the time, but I was thinking 23rd could be a good day to do something. Now I can't go to a bar :( but maybe we could play frisbee in Central Park or whatever?
Btw. here's some photos from my other trips https://kubablog.tumblr.com/

I travel on a budget since I'm pretty young, scoring flight deals, driving with BlaBlaCar, sleeping in youth hostels/airbnb/couchsurfing/hammock. It doesn't require a huge amount of money except for few places like Denmark, but yeah I mostly finance my travels with Saloon money/whatever else I made on different projects this year.
Posting from an alt cause I don't have a steam mobile authenticator with me.

Can't host, but I can show you around Detroit and the surrounding areas if you want. It's not as bad as people say it is.

Chareebfaalizeejesus how is it even possible to travel that much
did u got that much out of saloon?
I travel on a budget since I'm pretty young, scoring flight deals, driving with BlaBlaCar, sleeping in youth hostels/airbnb/couchsurfing/hammock. It doesn't require a huge amount of money except for few places like Denmark, but yeah I mostly finance my travels with Saloon money/whatever else I made on different projects this year.
Posting from an alt cause I don't have a steam mobile authenticator with me.
that makes sense in Europe since there are many cheap flights, deals and shit.
But you're travelling to USA, that's at least 400€ if you are lucky enough to get a fare error, and you going to different places, u doing all with blablacar? XD

Buses are usually the cheaper option, but of course because NA is so big, it's also the slowest option. It takes about a week of constant driving to go from Ontario to British Columbia.

I'd be down for that NYC meetup that was talked about.
Also if for whatever reason you change your mind and need to stay in NJ, you could stay at my place worst comes to worst, a lot of people stay over here including bands that tour in the area.

There's no BlaBlaCar that's true, I was thinking Craigslist for some places that are more difficult to reach, as for America while they only have traditional airlines there's plenty of deals and error fares, if you're lucky enough you can fly Portland to Alaska or New York to Puerto Rico for $100 round trip :P

So far I have Warsaw - Stockholm, Stockholm - NYC, NYC - Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh - Cleveland tickets :D
Think I'm going to bed now, cause I have to consider skipping Buffalo :D Like how come Cleveland - Niagara Falls with transfer in Buffalo is cheaper than Cleveland - Buffalo. Now if it was an airline I'd just disappear at the airport and skip the transfer ;) But I'm not sure if I can get my baggage out of the bus or is someone else moving it to the other bus at the transfer. Any ideas?

In addition to slin, I also live in SF if you'd be down to meet up, can't really accommodate though. Either way, there's a ton of cool stuff to visit and see:
Coit Tower
Pier 39 + Fisherman's Wharf + Ferry Building, all along the Embarcadero
Bay Bridge
Golden Gate Bridge
Mission District
North Beach
Chinatown
Japan Town
There's so much to do and so little time

I'm going to try gaming blue dog and skipping the last leg since I already know they'll give me my baggage.
Another tip for saving: I found out that Greyhound.ca sells tickets for the same buses with origin in Canada as Greyhound.com, except that they're often half in price.

It works for many short segments, I'll very rarely be traveling more than 5 hours in a day/night, but I'm planning on flying like seven times total.
