I'm using an updated rays hud, which in theory should be fine. But the game just keep crashing. I've also tried other huds. I'm just playing pubs and lobbies, pugs, and scrims, and it crashes everywhere.
If I use the default hud, it's fine, so I'm not sure what exactly is causing the crash, I assume it has to be hud related.
Tried verifying game cache as well, all signs point to custom hud but I'm not sure what could be causing it.

Specific actions or moments you crash could help pinpoint what might cause a crash. Any errors on crash or just back on desktop? Any other things in /custom besides the hud? Tried other huds?

Nothing in particular seems to cause the crash, it happens at complete random.
The main error I keep getting is a BEX error, which when I googled it someone said it was a buffer overflow error. Sadly the thread was a year or two old, and there wasn't much in the way of how to solve the problem besides the usual "verify game cache, restart steam, restart your computer" kind of things, all of which I've tried multiple times.
Having since uninstalled my rayshud, there has been ZERO crashing, so I know something hud related is causing it/conflicting with the game

i think i'm having the same issues you are - the problem is inconsistent with me though. my game was crashing constantly a few nights ago, was perfectly fine all of last night, and then started crashing again tonight.
send help :(
edit: started crashing on default hud now, so maybe not hud related?

Have you tried deleting winpanel.res?
could you upload the version of the his you are using? that way we could see if it's something specific to your installed hud
