picked this up the other day and I have to say this is one of the most addicting games ive ever played. Im pretty bad at it though and average about 150 sec after 1 and a quarter hours in the game. Im wondering what use the shotgun jump is tho, is it only to get over the green spider things?

It was kind of just a gimmick in the "2015" version, mainly used for escaping spiders if they ever managed to hatch from the spider eggs afaik
It's very useful now in the new version to escape the Centipede II's (seen at about 260seconds) as they now chase you around the arena and are generally much more agressive than before.

Company that made the game now goes by the name "Sorath".
I can't find any enemy gifs as of yet (can update post if I do), but AFAIK they are a new giant white centipede (called ghostpede by the community) that makes the homing daggers stop working, a barbed tentacle thing that comes out the ground, and the Leviathan now has a stage 2 where it evolves or something.
If you have the game watch Sojk's run, you're bound to see new enemies then.
To view a replay top-down press "M" while watching a replay, you can also press "<", ">" and "/" to control playback speed (may not work on 2015 build ones, works on v2 ones though).

May just be me, but game seems to run a lot smoother now as well.
No discount or anything just now, but this game is well worth it full price regardless, buy it.
