An idea posted by micspam here. I thought it was a good idea so here's a thread to publicize and enforce the idea better.

Yea, the splash screen could have a button that goes to that site, among other useful sites.
This should be under the subforum "site discussion".
edit: I like how I'm being downvoted because it was moved to the proper subforum by a mod after my post.

when was the last time that this was updated? i mean they're still advertising that tf2stadium will be in open beta in march
uberchain and I are going to be brainstorming some ideas for a splash screen. We're probably going to be including stuff like the main parts of the website, what we do, rules, etiquette, and so on.
We want to know from you guys on what else we should put on it. Go ahead and suggest away.

somewhere there are tutorials to getting into competitive tf2, that should definitely be there somewhere.
Aside from the obvious, I think showing off prominent TF2 streamers that are consistently at the top of the TF.TV stream list is a good idea.

Needs to be very obvious what the next streamed match will be, and then the ability to see the next streamed match for each league globally, along with a description of the format, location, what makes it unique, how to join, and the pug site for that region.
maybe random player bio's? This is a big thing in other esports (especially Dota at the majors and TI) where players are given spotlights and some narrative is given so people have some reason to like them and like their team before knowing about how they play the game
