nameLess comes out on top as the ETF2L Season 24 Premiership champions after defeating LEGO in the grand finals 3-1.

When the ETF2L regular season came to a close, the real competition started: the fight for the title of ETF2L Season 24 Premiership champions. Full Tilt, LEGO, nameLess, and happy farmers would enter the arena to fight for their playoff lives and earn the championship title.

Full Tilt fulfilled their expectations as the 1st seed by knocking 4th seed happy farmers into the lower bracket without dropping a round, remaining in the upper bracket. Despite nameLess being the 3rd seed and LEGO the 2nd, nameLess took their set without dropping a round as well. In the upper bracket finals, they dominated against Full Tilt, not dropping a round in their path to the grand finals.

In the lower bracket, LEGO held on to their tournament life. First, they fended off the happy farmers in a fierce three-map set, clutching the tiebreaker, Reckoner. Then, they met Full Tilt in the lower bracket finals where they clutched yet another best-of-three series in an upset of many people's predictions.

Thus, LEGO found themselves in the best-of-5 grand finals against nameLess down a map due to coming from the lower bracket. Badlands came first in the series where a 1-1 tie led to a golden cap, where LEGO held their own and won. nameLess came back to their senses, however, and dominated their plastic brick opponents, taking Gullywash 5-0 and Granary 3-1. As a result, nameLess sealed the deal on the best-of-5 series 3-1, making their mark as Season 24 Premiership champions.

Final Standings

  • 1st: nameLess (€500)
  • 2nd: LEGO (€300)
  • 3rd: Full Tilt (€200)
  • 4th: happy farmers

No spoiler title!

I would have never expected LEGO to place 2nd, well done, it's really sad that they will probably not go to i58

the only reason lego wasn't prem for several seasons was because they didn't want to lose most of their officials and actually do well in div 1, happy that at the end they decided to just find replacements for the players that didn't want to commit to prem and now they are 2nd place in prem.

tbh you should change the title in something like 48 hours so that people from the other regions (Australia, NA) are able to watch the VOD

Not really, I was the one who didn't wanna play prem so I kinda strongarmed everyone into mixing up the classes. Now when I came back they got second place in prem. Funny how that works out :D

So misinformed. This version of Lego only formed because me, Izon and Phil were playing dota one day and said let's make a team since helberg and crizzl stopped for university. Beater was lagging too badly and Sepu did not want to commit to prem level anymore after season 20. All we needed was people we knew and that was sorex, condom and godmoule.

Didnt lego play in d1 all the time because they didnt want to go prem so they switched classes every season so they could stay in d1?

But yeah that was the old lego, this is the new lego

congratulations to LEGO for making it this far and congratulations to nameLess to actually step up and get back into form when it mattered the most in the season. In my opinion that just shows you how dominant they actually are and that there is sadly no prem team right now that can consistently beat them (who will stop them) but on the bright side ETF2l seems to have a somewhat stable top 3 again which is nice.
