didnt see anything relevant to this yet, so decided to start a thread.
Anyone here do a lot of hiking/mountain climbing? post fun stories/trips you've had, or fun climbing/hiking trails near you.

Just recently climbed Algonquin peak near lake placid in NY, probably the most exhausting thing I've done in my life :P tons of fun though, went with a few friends from my boy scout troop

There is a ton of hikes to do in the Seattle area, but most notably I've climbed St Helens and Ranier. I live 20ish minutes from Mt Si so thats a nice hike which isnt a very long drive

I really want to do some multiple day trails around Yosemite. I might try for next summer. They look so fun and the idea of just hiking and being away from everything with a few friends in the middle of nowhere seems super nice.

This summer I did some 10-15 mile trails by Mount Shasta. Those were cool.

On a more extreme side, the Pacific Crest Trail seems like it'd be amazing to do. I know for a fact I'd probably die within a week, but still. Maybe some day.

I've just gone climbing for my bday. I went on a path of the World War I used by soldiers to reach the battlefield on the snowfield. It's impressive how they managed to walk up there with all the weight of weapons and cannons without all the useful stuff we have now.
Overall it was a great experience and really satisfied i've spent my 20th birthday in a such beautiful landscape
(Oh I've started at 1900mt and reached 3000mt of elevation)

Edit: here are some photos shot with my shitty phone http://m.imgur.com/a/8DxL6
