You're right on the launch, but now it's gone. Viewmodels are not forced in Casual, but yep, config restrictions in Comp are really shitty.

Cheat engine can attach itself to game processes. If you check the source code for the DS mod the guy is claiming to use, there's literally no way it could attach itself to TF2.
And yep, I trust an anti-cheat system more than a random stranger with questionable arguments on the internet. Do you really want transparency with VAC? That's like telling people why their password is wrong, you don't want cheat developers to know even more about the anti-cheat they're trying to bypass.
