Following the conclusion of Season 22, the much-hyped FROYO BLACK decided to call it quits.

Many had high hopes for the team with its mix of old-school talent and new up-and-comers. Seasoned veterans and High Rollers Gaming alumni cyzer, tagg, and shade joined forces with bl4nk and Hassassin. During their formation, they recruited clockwork, who played for froyotech prior to Season 22, but he proved to be a mirage and disappeared shortly thereafter. The team replaced him with slemnish, another rising talent.

The team comfortably made playoffs as many expected, earning the third seed behind froyotech and RONIN, and that position didn't change during the course of the playoffs.

tagg spoke to us and reflected on his time with the team, as well as details of his teammates' futures:

We all knew this was a one-season team, but it's still sad to see us part ways. bl4nk has an Overwatch team to focus on and shade has joined another team (despite everything he said about this being his last season) with our demoman Hassassin. Like I said though, we all knew this would be a one-season team and we succeeded in getting a 3rd place finish just like we planned.

What an untimely setback for young upstart bl4nk. He really needs the invite experience.

But seriously, shame to see them go, but I'm excited for what habib does next season.
