notebook/laptop advice

hi, i recently got into high school meaning that i will need a notebook, as i know nothing about notebooks myself i would appreciate some guidance here. my budget is about 600€ (can go a bit over that) im mainly going to do just school related work, like programming for example, any help is appreciated

yeah thanks for that but what would be the best cheap lightweight notebook in that case though, im really lazy to search this up, can someone who was in the same situation as me give me a tip or something idk im lost

basically above. if you're looking to spend most of your budget you should go for QOL features like a nice screen and an SSD over a CPU & RAM. could save money and try to find a laptop that doesn't come with windows preinstalled unless you need it for windows dev (lenovo stuff tends to come with this option).

dont have much experience with laptop but i think good brands include lenovo, asus, acer. avoid hp like the plague

I don't know much about computers but my friend told me about this laptop thats apparently really good and linustechtips recommended it so ya. I don't know if its in your budget bc im too lazy to look the conversion rate up. Anyways, my friend says it runs bf4 high settings 60 fps no problems but i cant verify this
