Don't wait so long to cut that manipulative, abusive player. You think you're doing him and your team a favor by enduring him, but you're not. No one is irreplaceable, and your energy is better spent elsewhere.
You're afraid of trying combat classes at all because you got into gaming pretty late in life and don't want to feed into the stereotypes of girls being bad. Don't be. It's easier to learn than you think, especially at your level, and the sexist assholes will think what they think no matter how bad or how good you are. Even if you do decide to play medic, it's way easier to switch to it than from it.

Don't do shots before or during matches. Don't do shots before or during scrims. Don't get angry at your team your first season in Open, you are just there to learn. Don't get angry in pugs, it doesn't matter. Don't be a laptop champion, save your money get a good computer, be the 5 ping hero you were meant to be.
playing on 60hz and a shitty mouse that isnt exactly the most responsive isnt going to get you far
Start playing 6's instead of HL. Play Newbiemixes and scrim more rather than pugging. Getting a mentor earlier. Keep your head low but your mind open. Stay with the people you liked, not the people that were better.
Dont.
