This has been happening to me for about two or three weeks, I was able to run TF2 perfecly for about seven months without having a problem. I listen music while playing, so first the music stops and then the game freezes and a sound loop goes on. Anybody with the same problem or solution?
what are you using to listen to music, like spotify, pandora, a music player, youtube?

what are your system specs and tf2 specs (i.e. fps cfg, any major changes made for performance gains)

shouldn't be an fps issue afaik
when your tf2 freezes, does it do that warning: auto disconnect in x seconds thing?
if so, you might just not have good enough internet to stream music on spotify and play tf2 at the same time, but that's a really big stretch

page setsul, maybe he can help us out, because i can't think of any logical reason your tf2 would just time out like that besides an internet issue

try playing for a bit with -default to confirm whether or not the freezes are still there. id expect this to be some random issue with a variable somewhere
if it doesn't crash like this try moving your autoexec somewhere else and launch the game with -autoconfig. then move your autoexec back and restart the game without -autoconfig. if it still crashes change cfg xd

I played with comanglia's config and the problem was significantly reduced, though it still happens a few times. I'm gonna try out default...

Checked the HDD?
Checked for overheating?
Also there is no need to spam me with PMs.

And the temps?
Because freezes happening less often with an fps cfg sure sounds like overheating.

The temp while idle was around 29 C and while running the game it went up to 72 C.

SetsulTemperature of what?
Check both CPU and GPU.
That was CPU, the GPU goes up to 68 C.

I'm not sure if you got the temp of one of the cores, an average or the package temp, but either way I'd check for throttling.

I right clicked on the HDD, then chose properties and checked for errors. Then typed disk drive get status in the command prompt. After that I checked it with a third party software. Throttle stop says my cpu is not supported.

Maybe I should link a version from after Skylake was released, not before.
