I want them to let you customize the models, like that one company did with WoW characters. I want clear vinyl green flames on my Soldier! :D
What valve really cares about: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$4
Things that dont get them any money: caring about competitive tf2

comp tf2 gives $0 to valve, and if theres like 20k unusuals, i can guess that people have spent about $5000000 in keys alone
i would focus on the hats too tbqh

Isn't that to be expected?? If they don't create a way to make money off of competitive TF2 then of course they won't make any money. If they implemented a money making scheme to competitive TF2, and showed some support, you can bet your ass they'd be making money.

I think what he's trying to say is the competitive tf2 community is very small compared to the community as a whole. Why waste time trying to make money off such a small percentage when you can make hats that almost everyone will spend money on? Doesn't make much sense from an economist's standpoint.
people buy tickets to watch dota tournament games
that's why tf2 doesnt have a well thought out and nice spectating feature, we cant afford it.

Then maybe its our responsibility to grow this community instead of taunting newer players and pub stomping how about we add these people to the community (who have actual skill of course)that are interested in comp tf2.

A company pays Valve for the license to make some TF2 merch, sells out 10,000 figures before they even ship, and this is apparently the fault of lazy programmers at Valve.
Logic.

Maybe there can be a suggestion list of what could be done so as to make competitive TF2 an interest of a larger portion of stream viewers. I'll start off here: I think the casters would benefit greatly if they had specific binds to specific players (e.g.: team(class#1/2)), so as to improve the viewer experience.

Maybe I'm just different, but I'd never spend money to watch a video game. I don't know why anyone else would either.

Video games to some people are like sports to others in the sense that they're into it enough to buy tickets to watch if that's how it had to be.
it's pretty clear that the tf team has a different philosophy than the rest of valve
the gaben i know would never release such buggy and unbalanced updates

I really don't get it, this game is such a pleasure to play and watch, great visual style (besides the hats), if the TF team cared at all I feel like this game's scene would be a lot bigger.
If you could get valve to change server defaults to crits off, damage spread off, fov 90, and consistent spread then you would probably see a large increase in player base just by virtue of exposing people to a way of playing the game that is objectively better.

I feel like it's kind of late for that, and besides, I would say the majority of people realize that crits are luck (except for those people who insist that skill = crits because of the increased chance on damage).
