had to leave early to catch the train and drive 3 hours home, missed 2nd and 3rd overtimes and nuke in SK vs VP as well as the whole finals match

I managed to avoid all the polish cs kids at my school for an entire day just so i didn't know the result when i got home to watch the replay. Fully worth it, amazing final and overall tournament

dashnerEnded up working full time shooting video work for Ready Up, but still was an unforgettable experience. Got to sit down with a lot of big names in CSGO and some of the words and ideas they had to offer about TF2 + it's history were surprisingly insightful. Doing video coverage for an event of this scale in general is always very fulfilling as well.
That's awesome man, anyone with particularly interesting ideas about tf2? I can imagine thorin and semmler and a few others know a fair bit about it

dashnerDid not approach Thorin since he was working full time on the desk and I figured he would rather relax than take interviews.

It's outrageous that they would play the grand final on the same day as both semi finals. Burns out both the teams (VP after 2 OT games vs SK) and the talent involved. Ridiculous.

LAN death has attacked me full force. It is Day 1 of home recovery, pray for my weak ass.
It was awesome to be at the event, everything bad you heard such as scheduling or security are all true though. The games were great, but in terms of walking freely around, Barclay's security and ESL had tons of miscommunication leading to us (let alone the players and VIP) getting yelled at a lot. We had to film everybody standing up which isn't that comfortable - we basically caught RedEye in a hallway and for everybody else, basically stood in front of a press backdrop with our camera already set up for hours. Shoutout to the security guard who was really chill and stuck up for our press asses over this scary woman and his supervisor, shoutout to the press organizers who helped out their whole crew including our scrub asses.
Some dude behind me kept screaming SIT THE FUCK DOWN to the Na'Vi kids in the sidelines even though they were sitting down while cheering over LET'S GO VP so I'm kind of also glad his ass got told. Wish SF or CSGO got its own day to shine, I came back just as the dudes at the analyst desk were thanking and praising the smaller fighting game community and I got pissed off just thinking how Twitch chat was reacting. Empty row I kept leaving and coming back to in the VIP section near the stage was a testament to the event's flaws itself - that or no NA teams. But Guardian's reaction alone and everybody singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY S1MPLE was worth it, games-wise I'm glad I got to watch it live after running back and forth trying to organize interviews.
