-Being pro gun isn't really a good reason for him to be in office. But that's a major hanging point in the states for some reason so whatever.
-The president has the power to veto laws and proposals that come from the rest of the government but he does not have the power to just create a law and have it apply, that has to pass through congress and shit so have fun with that, not to mention you cant just load up all of the undocumented immigrants and deport them as it violates the law. Regardless of who is power immigration is a mess either way.
-He will make the system interesting ill give you that.
-He is a business man who has gone bankrupt at least 4 times, yes he has made boat loads of money for himself but private business and world economy are two different thing. A country going bankrupt gives you the situation the Greece is in right now.
-Foreign-affairs wild card is right. He seems to have absolutely zero understanding of how politics play out on a world stage, you cant just strong arm everyone into doing what you want. Try that shit and you will get sanctions all over your ass and other countries will 100% stop support. No matter how big your stick if you are a retard the rest of the world can make things a living hell for you, especially with how much production is moving into asia the US has much less power then it once did.

SpaceCadetwhymeoCan any of the Trump supporters who keep posting in this thread come up with five reasons why Trump is a good candidate that don't mention Hillary?
I don't view myself as a Trump Supporter but I will give this a try even thought there is likely an avalanche of negativity heading my way because of it. Lets see how many ppl I can offend with my 5 reasons for Trump over Hillary

----- Trump is Pro-Gun. Both Clinton's have never been friendly regarding guns.

----- National Security & Immigration Control which I view as one in the same. Clinton has said in the debates and speeches the same bullshit Obama has been saying for 8 years about immigration control and he has done nothing at all to fix the problem. I personally don't want to risk another 4-8 years under the same strategy. Who knows if Trump will get anything done on this front but I am more willing to take a chance on his actions than I am on Clinton.

----- Trump is not a career politician. Many of us are sick of the status quo in Washington. Trump could potentially breathe life into our failing political system for the future.

----- He is an accomplished business leader far outstripping Clinton. With the national debt looming over us all, he is easily the better choice for new ideas on this front. Foreign business deals will be on notice if he gets elected and making your business competitors nervous is not a bad thing.

----- Foreign Affairs Wild-Card. He may actually do the things he has pledged in his speeches which may mean an end to some foreign powers taking advantage of us on the world stage. Speech after speech means nothing unless action is taken afterwards, which is what you will 100% get with Clinton being elected.

1. Pro-Gun is a fair stance to take even if I think its dumb
2. What risk is the US at with its current immigration and border status?
3. How is someone with no understanding or connection in the political system going to influence hundreds of career politicians to give up the nebulous "corruption" they embody?
4. His current tax plan would increase the national debt and continue the trend of tax cuts for the rich, how would that help solve the "problem" of national debt?
5. What foreign powers are taking advantage of the US?

While I'm not voting this has certainly been a conflicting election for me to try to invest myself in

1. Hillary is certainly the more qualified candidate on paper but with the absolute mountains of scrutiny she's under for constant corruption scandals it's certainly questionable whether you want someone like that in the white house, despite her merit
2. Trump is definitely one of the least qualified people to ever run for president but he hasn't (appeared to have) launched underhanded tactics and control national conventions to suppress his competition, although whenever he seems to lose something it's never his fault it's always someone cheated or the media is lying

idk this election is a fuck and im not just trying to be a le intelligent moderate

judging by the response to the video (a. it's just bar room talk and b. its fake i swear c. people in these videos resigning) and what has been released in the emails, this may be an exception

a lot of the stuff in there is really hard to imagine in a separate context. im not saying these are 100% true, but it honestly would surprise me more if it didn't have any truth to it, this what i always thought politics was about

edit: yeah the editing makes it seem "omg tinfoil!!" for sure, but a lot of what these people say stands on their own. i could be wrong and this is all a hoax, though

you dont get the point-- he is saying things he would do (in his opinion) better than clinton, not using attacks of why she is bad as to why trump would be better (eg. corrupt oh no!! etc.)

it's completely fucking normal to compare policy of candidate a to that of candidate b when making an argument for why x would be better

Benk, you can literally take Clinton out of everything I said and every point I referenced is still there to read.

In an effort to make the post more complete, I added Clinton's sides, not sure what the big problem is but if you want to nit-pick about things like that then I assume you missed the entire thing.

Yea I bet in his latest videos he used selective editing to incriminate people... just kidding. Several of the clips were like a solid 5 minutes long with no splicing, making selective editing difficult or impossible to do. If what he just released wasn't true why are people being fired and or resigning?

People are pre-emptively resigning because, no matter the extent to which this is creatively edited, they can't take any risks at this point. By immediately leaving and denying what isn't explicitly proven, they can be distanced from.

Besides, chances are that the second the results are in, they will immediately get their jobs back or work somewhere else in the same job. Just like the two NPR executives his questionable editing "exposed", one of which just became an executive of another company. The other, his wife, went from NPR to Twitter as Head of News before becoming an independent consultant.

The same reason people got fired with his previous misleading videos? They weren't true either...

Heck he even got an entire organization shut down, right?

And there was no clip 5 min long straight there, and there was definitely a lot of jump cuts.

Now not gonna lie, it does look very damning. But go watch his previous videos lmao, they also looked very damning. Fool me once, shame on me, etc

I wouldn't discount the vid completely but I'd be very skeptical.

Yes, because that worked out so well.

Despite being one of the least efficient and most corrupt governments ever, Lenin's Russia won ww2 and was a world power for 70 years, standing equal to the US in our period of greatest power. I'd say things went pretty well for them.

Imagine a Soviet system that was half as corrupt and inefficient and didn't have a Stalin figure committing genocide on his own people.

I don't expect you to see socialism in a positive light. We've been fed misinformation about it for our entire lives. There's no better propaganda machine than the US of A.

I don't know what you're getting at. I actually see Scandinavian countries as having some of the most successful governments in the modern era, due largely to their socialist elements. I just think that Marxism-Leninism is too extreme and is bound to lead to corruption whenever implemented because of the large amount of power invested in the government under such a system.

The Russian public in 1917 wasn't ready for Marxism. They were generally impoverished and uneducated. That's why the 'government' was able to take control of so much from the local soviets. There was no communication and goals were vastly different between soldiers, workers, and the middle class during ww1

Take a soviet government and implement it today, when the communication infrastructure is already built, the US isn't in a battle for its own existence, and the vast majority of people have at least a high school education. It's pure democracy at its best, with local politics inflicting its will on national politics, rather than the other way around.

There would be casualties of course, which is why any sort of change in government is impossible without revolution. The people who currently control our media machine, those who make money creating no product of their own, the bourgeoisie. They lose here, and they have somehow convinced huge chunks of the country that we should keep leaning farther right, until now we have a candidate who is closer on the political spectrum to Hitler than Reagan. Hell, Hillary isn't that far left of Reagan and she's far to the right of most political parties in the rest of the first world. As the rest of the civilized world grows to the left and thrives, the US leans right and strangles. Maybe Marxism is too extreme, but I'd rather be on that end than the end we are headed towards now.

GentlemanJonowlAs the rest of the civilized world grows to the left...You've said a lot of strange things, but this is probably the strangest.

i'd have to say the "and thrives" part is the most absurd part of that statement to be honest, like look at what that "socialist" policy has accomplished in Venezuela, Brazil, the UK, France, Belgium (esp. Wallonia), etc...
Europe, AKA the civilised world, has been turning towards the right with the radical left as its opposition.

Centrally planned economies don't work. It's been tried and tested and lead to enough famine and suffering all across the world. Tbh, the world will never be "ready" for any marxist utopia and that's a good thing. Direct democracy is great, and the internet could facilitate this so much more, but communism doesnt allow more than one party to rule, and for the internet to function at a good price and connection, you need to let the free market do its work. trust, me as a Belgian, i lived in a time where you only had two options, both companies in the hands of the government, and boy imagine in 2010 the best internet you could get was 12 gigs max bandwidth, with 2-3 mbps and this for only 50 euros a month. :)

And Owl, think about this, the soviet union, would have collapsed in the interbellum , if they didnt had the eastern european countries to loot wholesomely (just look up holodomor and Soviet Ukraine) , Why did you think Internationalism, was so popular and the policy of the USSR? Besides later on in WWII, having Lend-Lease help from the Brits and the USA and the German logistics far over over extending (running out of fuel and spare parts after 800kms) or Hitler intervening, and turning into what made operation Barbarossa succesfull (delegating to the generals and let them figure out the priorities and strategy) to dumb direct orders like to General Paulus or the fiasco that was the battle of Kursk.

As the rest of the civilized world grows to the left...
You've said a lot of strange things, but this is probably the strangest.
i'd have to say the "and thrives" part is the most absurd part of that statement to be honest, like look at what that "socialist" policy has accomplished in Venezuela, Brazil, the UK, France, Belgium (esp. Wallonia), etc...
Europe, AKA the civilised world, has been turning towards the right with the radical left as its opposition.

Centrally planned economies don't work. It's been tried and tested and lead to enough famine and suffering all across the world. I've believed this for a while that the polls are very inaccurate. People are also speaking out and saying that they tried to poll them and when they asked on the phone if they were voting for Trump, they acted as if they couldn't hear them and hung up the phone!

Also today is the wicked witch of washingtons birthday! Yes, crooked Hillary's birthday is today! Could this be the day that the drop the bombshell and release the 33K private emails? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vcUXzbVVls

I sure hope so, we need this witch locked up and out of the race!
