I'm not deep into mixes and such, but here are some I really like:
- Decks, EFX & 909 by Richie Hawtin. The first entry in the DE9 series of mixes, this one is by far my favorite because of just how pounding it is - the first half ends with an EBM song! Made in '99, still sounds futuristic. It also made me discover Rhythm & Sound (song at the end). The later ones in the series mix minimal techno instead of Detroit techno, but they're still worth checking out (Hawtin uploaded them both to SC as well).
- minMAX by Hobo. The mix itself isn't anything special technically, it's the sheer quality of the tracks being mixed that does it for me. The first disc of the label compilation that's being mixed here has all the songs separated and I prefer it that way (the track order is better to boot), but the mix is on the second disc if someone likes that format better.
- Italo Disco Set by The Hacker. The Hacker is a pretty interesting artist, as he works in both techno and synthwave - his claim to fame is a collab with Miss Kittin. This set is a pretty sweet old school '80s mix that features some truly deep cuts.
- FACT Mix 122 by Autechre. It's really a mix that makes more sense if you know Autechre, but it still mixes some nice tunes. I mostly include it here for... well, a certain unexpected/funny turn of events. I'd rather you listen to it to hear it. (The description and comments spoil it if you're so keen on finding out.)
