Well, after my previous post, I really don't trust myself in these kind of thing...

damneasyIs your elo higher then 2300? No? Keep playing.

I will, but that's not the point, I was asking has there been any improvement.

i would say your aim was slightly better, but this is very difficult to say because you're playing a different opponent. i will hit great rockets on a random 1600 elo player, but miss 3/4 on timus. also, you have easier rockets to hit because all you do is sit where you spawn and this guy is actually moving forward and trying to make the game bearable.

when you're trying to measure your improvement, see if players you lose to frequently are now easier to beat/ you're getting higher scores on them. you don't really need to make a thread like this again.

I am not one to talk but,

movement and aim slightly better, if you can just hit more directs!

It all comes down to: https://youtu.be/SlCRfTmBSGs?t=4

I was asking because I'm pretty unsure, since players who I beat are usually new MGE players, and I'm not sure about player's level who beat me. And I'm usually pretty bad knowing where I'm good and where I'm not, as you found out in my previous post.

EDIT: Surfed trough my demos, people who beat me are usually Div 4/3, Mid, High players.

I still see the same problem that I mentioned in your other thead:
A lot of the times you don't really aim your rockets before you shoot them.
There's a few moments in this video where you don't move your crosshair at all between two shots, even tho your enemy moved to a totally different location in the mean time. A lot of the times you aim for your enemy, he moves somewhere else before you shoot, but you still shoot your rocket where you were aiming, instead of delaying the shot a bit and adjusting your aim according to your enemies movement first.
You shouldn't shoot a rocket you know won't hit, just because you just finished loading a rocket, or because you enemy just shot one and you don't want to fall behind. Dodge his rocket, wait for a moment where you can predict his movement, then shoot.
It still all seems a bit like you're trying to pump out your 4 rockets as fast as possible and hope they hit, rather than making sure they all hit by taking as much time as you need to make that happen.
You're rushing things.
Sure, your end goal is to be both. Fast AND accurate. So you shoot as fast as you can and try to be accurate at the same time.
But I think it's much more efficient to learn the other way round. Focus on accuracy first and shoot as fast or slow as you have to to not hurt your accuracy. Then, as accuracy improves, slowly increase the speed as much as you can without losing accuracy.
The way you're doing it right now, shooting as fast as possible and hope your accuracy will catch on to your speed eventually makes it harder to learn.
It's like when you play scout and dodge like crazy, but miss all of your shots because of it, when instead you should try to only dodge as much as you can while still hitting your shots and then dodge more and more the better your aim gets.

fabulousYou're still pressing the spacebar :/

I try to keep surfing in minimum, and pretty much do it if I'm too close or opponent is doing nothing else than surfing.

RentQN-snip-

Yah, I noticed that my aim is currently a problem. While previously I tried to focus only on aiming and forgot movement and it became automatized, this time I focus on my movement too much and my aiming gets automatized.

Thanks for help again!

Yeah, many of my opponents surf a lot. I usually try to keep it on minimum, I do it if my opponent is too close to me.

Nah, I love Ammomod. It's the only thing what I play there. Of course I do play DM if I want to actually practice my overall skill.

funhaver1998when you're trying to measure your improvement, see if players you lose to frequently are now easier to beat/ you're getting higher scores on them. you don't really need to make a thread like this again.

find friends who are better than you on mge, and just keep playing them. it'll help you track your progress easier, and you can keep playing the same players who keep beating you.

you can also ask those friends about your improvements instead of making more threads like this.

Already have and will do.

And don't worry, this is the first and the last of a thread like this.

You need to move a lot more, my man. It looks like you're trying to mash a and d as fast as possible sometimes, which is basically the same thing as standing still when you move at soldier speed. Honestly, I think you're almost overthinking your movement, or at least you're trying to be to clever with it. Just move around and focus on hitting good ~70 damage midrange rockets.

As a fellow ammomod fan, I'd also suggest never using your shotgun or jumping, even if your opponent does. You're going to lose elo or whatever, but your rocket aim and movement will improve. You can play other arenas or DM to improve shotgun aim, you're not going to learn anything by shotgunning someone walking around on flat ground at soldier speed.

I never jump there, but no shotgun? That's something new, I must think about that...

I play Ammomod for fun, DM for actual practice. No 6s experience, too busy with studies to have an actual team.

Your point...?

why wouldn't you use your shotgun? you're not improving your rockets just by ignoring the shotgun. if he misses his rockets during the fight and the other guy doesn't/hits the same, he just dies before he reloads.

My point was to find out whether you actually play the game or whether you just play the side gamemode (mge) with no intention to apply it to a real 6s or HL (lol) game scenario.

If you want to play 6s but don't feel you have enough time just find a UGC or even ESEA team that rarely scrims and play with them. You're really missing out if you don't actually play competitive.

I'd love to, but I'm simply too busy right now. A lot of studies, being outside, etc...
Right now gaming for me is just a little fun thing what I do.

And besides, my Autism (Difficuties with actual talking, especially on foreign language, anger issues, pressure caused being social, people talking a lot loudly same time, difficulties with socializing) would make playing on a team very painful for me and team, unless everyone has a basic knowledge of Autism...

competitive video gaming isn't always for everyone

Have you ever heard of the legendary Mute? He's a guy that is physically inclined and can't actually talk, but he made useful binds for general statements in mumble so he could still comm (e.g. "Enemy on Flank", "Medic Down", "Yes"). If you have a difficulty talking don't let that hold you back from not talking, your teammates won't care as long as you do it, if not revert to the bind method. If your teammates won't accept you for who you are don't play with them. I'm sure if you found the right group of guys/gals and explained to your team mates what you're going through they would understand.

I know you don't have the time but even if you did, don't let anything keep you from playing this beautifully crafted game we all know and love.
