Yep, i55/s23 roster was probably the best; they were unstoppable in Europe, and they gave i55 froyotech a run for their money, in the lower bracket finals, on every map except product. And even then they put up a fight on Froyo's best map.

I think if all the players can play at their best, the S27 one could be the best one, but it's not there yet

I'd say season 21/i55 looks most powerful, s27 being second and s23 third.

I'm pretty sure at least half the team had 60hz or shit laptops for the first half of the tournament, once they actually had playable setups they were pretty strong.. not to mention that they were very very close to knocking out froyo in a somewhat convincing manner in the consolation final..

Or are we just doing that thing where we ignore context entirely? :thinking:

as important as context is you can't really call a 3rd place finish unstoppable. they literally got stopped

Yeah that's true, but I'm not overly concerned with placements when comparing teams performances and skill level in tournaments, I prefer to try understand what affected the teams in different ways and judging how they performed on that basis. I wouldn't say they were unstoppable but I considered them better than nR.

Reason provided them with the kit, I don't think they were aware of the specs beforehand, but I could be mistaken.

Epsilon literally came back in s22 and kaidus' team won, plus they literally had zebbosai/rising.

On paper it's i55 roster, but they didn't have the time to form proper cohesion, s24 gets an honorable mention bc of how nuts stark and drackk were in that season/i58

Epsilon barely ever scrimmed and KnOxXx even left towards the end of the regular season, the only time they actually beat them was during GF when they got bulle instead who is a huge downgrade calling-wise
Also I hope people who think FB and mig* are better than crowns aren't serious

unbiased opinion but the mig* roster was pretty fat and considering that it had the best soldier combo that eu ever had i think you shouldnt count that roster out just because its from an "ancient" time
I agree that the FB roster is a joke though, besides mirelin and kaido they didnt have any decent players
