gloperzTHEBILLDOZERWhen a roster is this volatile and we receive messages out of no where telling us that we need to pay up new players we didn't know were going to be on the team, its not good for us.
This was depressing to read
yeah. entitled shits

UPDATE: WE ARE NOT ABLE TO FIND A WORKING AGREEMENT WITH THE CURRENT FAINT GAMING ORG
APPARENTLY SANDBLAST AGREED TO GIVE THEM 35% OF THE INVITE PRIZE WINNINGS WHEN IF THE TEAM PLACED THIS SEASON
now they want more and they still havent agreed to pay for aim and i
so basically if we MAGICALLY win out this season we still end up making open money at best
also ty mr sandblast for not letting anybody on the team know about ur ~agreement~
only reason im posting this because i really dont want them getting the word out first and spinning it first yolo

Pompompurin: sandblast agreed to give you guys 35% of the prize money
Pompompurin: if he placed top 4
Kredible: Hmm I think so
Kredible: However, I think Hobin wants a higher % now
Pompompurin: and you want us to give you an even higher percentage
Kredible: I could verify with him
Pompompurin: yeah no lol
Kredible: Um not me specifically
Kredible: Ah understandable, I'll pass the message
Pompompurin: absolutely no way
Kredible: I'll make sure to let them know, but I believe you guys will play independently, which is probably better for y'all :))
Pompompurin: yeah it def is
Pompompurin: sorry for this whole shit storm
Pompompurin: i really didnt know that campy and meyy would both leave
EDIT: also quick math check
2100/6 = ~350
35% of 350 is 122.5
if this team ACTUALLY made playoffs, faint would get back almost triple the league fees LoL
sounds like a dope investment for the org and a horrific one for the players

lol what "spinning it first" all you did was call sandblast stupid and fuck over one of the only orgs tf2 had. Your attempt to save face or whatever has backfired.

didnt Faint buy muffinz a 144hz / discuss the possibility of going LAN / give you "some" sort of publicity for being a member of their team? plus they payed 40 dollar league fees for presumably 8 players... im not arguing that it's an unfair deal, but can you really shit on them that hard for a 3 month gamble that has a $415 payoff?

then drop the sponsor if they're not paying for you guys
seems like they're already partway out the door anyways, why not close it for them instead of letting this shit drag out
and if you're excuse is "well i don't wanna pay $40 i want faint to pay for me" then don't play lmao

Oh no, 13 new comments in the thread :(
Edit: I'd like to point out that this was before fees went down to 40$ per player. The new percentage agreed upon was about half of the original 35%. This is my fault for not checking the right percentage as my separate notes stated the original percentage, not the updated percentage.

idk why people want to assign blame at all...
Just cause shit isn't working out between the new team and the Faint org doesn't mean someone fucked up, only one player from the original roster is playing. Honestly the fact that Faint was willing to just roll with the punches this far is kinda cool of them, I imagine a lot of people would rather renegotiate with a team change this big.
Point is, TFTV fuckin chill
Mason isn't a dick
Faint isn't a bad org for not finding a working negotiation
Sorry invite isn't constantly drama for you guys? I'll try to fuckin tilt someone off my team, happy?

Since this somehow exploded. Faint offered to fly us to lan after S25, depending on the roster we ended with. The money that Faint got from the % at the end of S25/26 was going to be used to fund ESA Lan/Hotel fees. This has been talked about lowkey for the past like month between me and Kredible. I have no idea why people are inclined to make awful assumptions. Idk what Faint wants to do anymore i'm still talking to Kredible to see if he wants to stick with TF2 and send some people to LAN. Faint has actually done nothing but good to TF2 and the fact that people are thinking that they were the issue is insane to me. Hopefully I can still try to talk to Kredible and the guys at Faint to see if a S27 is still possible OR ESA Rewind. Hopefully this clears some of the air and people can just lower their pitchforks for a minute.

I feel it's important to remember that at the beginning of s25, nobody thought Faint was going to make playoffs. They looked like a 6th place team, and even though they had a very good season and outperformed expectations, if rando didn't throw week 1 they probably wouldn't have made playoffs. Even this season the 35% deal was far from a guaranteed payout for the org, especially when you consider their sponsorship of an open team. Faint made a risky investment because they believed in tf2 as a game. Faint Gaming and Kredible have done nothing but good for this community.
