THE EMASCULATION CRISIS OF SCOUT MAINS
Examining the psychology between the two classes
1. Most people who play Scout simply play the class because it represents a person that they both relate to negatively, but also want to be. The Scout is represented by an emasculated character, clearly the runt of the litter when compared to the rest of the classes, giving the player a sense of a connection to the class. However, the Scout excels in his speed, which is something that the player never got to experience; his sedentary life never gave him the gift of being able to outrun the schoolyard bullies. I made sure to add "most people" to the beginning because there are some very hard working people who play the class, but I will get to this later. The people I am talking about can easily be spotted having A) Steam profile pictures relating to a cartoon of Japanese origin, or B) A Steam profile that hints or displays any sign of problems with self confidence, depression, etc. The fact the Scout has the most power in a 1v1 scenario makes him the most popular for people with the highest amount of insecurities.
2. In contrast, the Soldier class is the weakest class in a 1v1 scenario. For example, let's examine the arena Badlands middle. For a scout to win, it is only a matter of positioning; emptying the pistol out furiously in the valley area will accumulate a guaranteed 20 kills and ELO gains (contact meddle for further information). For a Demoman to win, it's only a matter of air detonations, shooting stickybombs over the crates, and the crate corner strategy (contact delpo for further information). For a Soldier to win versus a Scout would take some very high intelligence, well-angled jumps, and the knowledge of every exploit that a dastardly Scout could could use for leverage (ex: the varying terrain from map to map). Choosing to main Soldier gives the player a discipline that is rivaled by no other class in Team Fortress 2, which is why you see championed Soldiers such as TLR and lansky go on to get immense muscular gains, resulting in an admiration from the entire community. European Premiership soldier dameasy announced he was retiring from playing competitively, giving him time to focus on his new hobby - bodybuilding.
Way of elimination of the emasculation crisis of scout
3. For the emasculation crisis that exists in Scout mains to be eliminated, a culture of working hard must be promoted. A study on the methodologies used by Joshua "DOLPHIN RIDER" W. N. to succeed in MGE Mod shows that using the pistol and the "S" key sparingly/appropriately, a good work ethic and a high success rate emerges. My proposal is that other people who choose to main the Scout class follow this same sort of methodology, but in order to separate from the one that they have already adopted would require: 1) A change of diet from eating "junk food", pizza, fast food to cooking your own meals and eating lots of G.B.O.M.B.S.: Greens, beans, onions, mushrooms, berries, and seeds. These foods are best known for their "anti-cancer" properties, which will help one's play style be free of cancer as well. 2) An exercise regimen. Exercising consistently will give the player more self esteem and confidence, which will help dissuade one from caving into the urge of holding down the "S" key excessively, and later passive play overall. When using these methods, the player will find that there is a newfound efficiency to this play style, efficient in the sense that one's improvement will increase, with even less time spent needed than before.

The question is not wether you aim for directs or splash, the question is with your ability to read your opponents movement which is most appropriate and in which situation. When facing a scout player constantly backing out of any close-range engagement you attemptedly force him into, you have to play differently than versus a scout whom á la italian pasta-style runs into your face and tries to hit as many meatshots as possible. Even though these are the two extremes of agressive and passive, one must figure out which movesets your opponent has put in their arsenal, both in dodges, aiming, juking, surfing as well as different combinations of these elements. Once this has been realised, you will adapt your own method of aiming to maximize the reliable damage output you have.
EDIT: Ps this was a semi-joke
