My family is going to New Orleans this week, anyone know any cool stuff to do? We went a couple years ago and did most of the touristy stuff in French Quarter already.

if you like swamps and houses go on an airboat tour or walk around the garden district and look at the gorgeous architecture

I lived near there for a couple of years. I agree about the WW2 museum and the art museum, Honey Island Swamp tour is such fun but you'll probably not have a great time during the "cold" season since most animals will be sleeping.
The main NOLA thing to do is eat though. Cajun food. Creole Food. Hell i honestly think the run of the mill Chinese takeout is better down there than in DC (But that's just my opinion) Just go somewhere anywhere food wise really and order shrimp and grits or a muffaletta.
There's the New Orleans Audubon Zoo and Aquarium and Insectarium (three different locations but you can buy a bulk deal with a ferry ride between or just go to the ones you want)
If your whole group is of age and up to party, Bourbon Street and the surrounding areas has tons of bars and dancers and places to get messy drunk (and in LA you can drink in public so if you don't like a bar just get your drinks to go). If you have a vehicle, the experience of drive-through daiquiris is kinda bizarre but inherently Louisiana so it's worth a try.
