Hello lads I have made a new computer but I am having an issue
tried first boot yesterday and the fans are working and the lights are on, but on the dr debug thing it says 'A2' after lots of random codes it stabilizes at A2 and the monitor doesnt seem to be getting a signal
i unplugged my cpu from the psu to see if it was that but that gives me a different code '00' and then plug it back in and its 'A2'. so i guess im alright with that bit
in the manual, it says A-A7 means it cant detect a hard drive, but is all connected and i dont see why lack of drive means no display. pls help me my fellow gamers (-_-)7
i havent tried anything but replugging cpu and plugging back the hard drive. not at home atm so i just made this to see wat kind of things u think i should try

Faulty memory possibly. Remove all sticks of ram & then just plug in one & try booting. If that works, continue until you find the faulty one.

yeah that was what i was gonna check. i actually think i installed it wrong i looked on motherboard manual and the slots i picked said 'populated' twice in a table so i picked them, but maybe those were the ones i was meant not to ty Midnight Mick

Found out A2 is the code for IDE detect.
Pull out the hard drives and see if it boots without any of them attached.
IE: Goes to Bios.

all the screws are in with standoffs that were pre done by my case (corsair 750d) and screwed in. but on my motherboard there was 1 extra ill draw where when i get home
the motherboard is fixed, secure, doesnt fall down and seems lifted from the case theres also a standoff in the middle, but you dont screw on this one, thats like a 'special one'. if we include that one then i got 9 standoffs out of 10 on it

Unplug the sata cables from the hard drives as I previously suggested. See if you get to the Bios first, then go from there. :)

removing sata did nothing then i tried cmos button then no sata and still nothing
i plugged in my mouse and the mouse button lights up and the code changes to b4 which is usb so i guess the backs work its gotta be ram
when changing the RAM should i put on backplate and then lay it sideways or can i do it while its standing up

unplugged the atv12 cable (top left) which i assume is da one that gives the processor power in order to check if the cpu was installed or not.
no atxv12 = 00
with = A2
so that means the cpu is being picked up no?

Without power it won't check for a CPU because it can't boot regardless.
Do you really think it would check for HDDs if it didn't find a CPU?

If the CPU does have an iGPU remove the dGPU as well.
Remove all USB devices except the keyboard and maybe the mouse.

So after a CMOS reset with not hard drive plugged in, neither power nor SATA, you are still getting the A2 error?
That means it's not related to the hard drive because it's not plugged in. You should be able to enter the BIOS/UEFI with no hard drive installed.

also on the reboot aftwe pressing cmos, it will restart in the boot then boot back is that normal after pressing cmos button
edit: no sticks = error code 53 and power button not working, which means ram was also ok i guess

You're getting a "RAM missing" error with no RAM and it doesn't boot.
The same would happen if you didn't even buy RAM.

if its not gettin the ram missing error doesnt this mean there is ram detected mr setsul? >_>
theres a cmos button on my io shield that apparently has the same effect as doing the whole jumper thing. i unplug the power cable, make sure everythings off, hold the button down 10 secs then try again

It literally says in case of error A2 clear the CMOS. Instead you're doing a shit ton of completely unrelated stuff.
Manuals don't work if you don't follow the instructions.
The point of error codes is not to produce as many different ones as you can.

Tech support in written form is always challenging because most of those problems only exist because people failed to read written instructions so trying to solve them by writing instructions for them might not have the best success rate.
At this point I always seem annoyed even if I'm not because it leads to more people following the instructions to the letter, which leads to less annyoance for me.

EDIT: He added me and apparently it works now. Following instructions and plugging in hard drives properly can be difficult sometimes.
