hey, just wandering if someone played tfc competitively.
i've searched for some videos of it, but there's no information about it really, just some povs of players.
wanted to ask how did you play it (format, metas etc.), what league did you play in and some additional info if you want.

not that theres anyone i know of but there is some local competion-esk things that happen in my country but i cant say for the rest

there are two ETF2L teams that played TFC and are still active: clanda and HerbsArmy. afaik TFC was played 8v8

I don't know if TFC is still active, but on steam there's a game called Fortress Forever which is TFC in the source engine.
I played it very briefly but it had a pug system (can't recall discord or IRC) where people would play 4v4. One team attacks, the other defends, and roles are reversed after the time limit.
It emulates well 8v8 gameplay where (as you could see on POVS) attacking teams dont mess with each other and just run for button/flag. There is no disruption players like in Tribes (maybe because defence spawn instantly). There are no standoffs either.
I hope conc grenades won't make you sick.
