didnt blizzard hardware ban people for this or did i read something bogus
you might have more luck selling on sites like playerauctions dunno if your account is ranked or not but someone will buy it relatively quickly. many smurf / alt accs are bought from that site ^.^ also be sure to state your game mmr. If you're unranked go into quickplay and look at the SR of the people you're matched with. Buyers will give you more money if your quick play mmr is higher (esp diamond-masters) bc it will more than likely place there. GL ^.^

blizzard rarely hardware bans people, & i think they actively support the idea behind smurfing/alting (if you buy a new account from them) but never heard of people being hardware banned from account sharing /buying . they don't even hardware ban known t500 hackers :P

I can't really give sources like websites etc, but I'm really familiar with overwatch and its community (i used to play it competitively). I myself have 1 main account and 2 alts before I recently stopped playing in season10. It's kind of just an accepted thing that people have alt accounts and in smaller elo communities like masters and up everyone pretty much knows who's alt account belongs to who. Some people have alt accounts to throw on, and even those rarely get banned (even for a day or so) . The most I've ever seen an active thrower or negative alter punished was they were global banned (no voice, no chat) :/ + Blizzard tends to have huge sales randomly which is when everyone buys new alt accounts. That's why it's a joke that top 500 is more like top 200 x)

not really the answer i was looking but the claim you made seems like a pure speculation of blizzard encouraging people to buy more accounts and to an extent, smurfing, cheating, trolling, etc.
i mean you might be right but i havent seen sources where blizzard would publicly announce they wholeheartedly agree with ppl alting

so hmm, to the community it seems like blizzard supports alting bc it's not a banable offense. Playing offmeta isn't bannable and neither is alting. Maybe that's what I should have said.:) Not only is it a known problem in low elos (smurfs) but it's an accepted occurrence in high elos. There are very popular blizzard employees who stream (blinky) who every season buys a new account to alt on + all the biggest OW streamers constantly stream on alts. So while they have never actively said "hey don't do this pls" they also don't care if it happens bc they just want $$ and the game to be played :/
