Hi all,
Was pubstomping when I accidentally hit a key (or combination of keys) on the left side of my keyboard that resulted in the screen (including title screen and menus and everything) getting paler, like the brightness had been turned up, and gameplay getting choppier, like it was loading less frames per second.
Anyone know what setting I might have inadvertently activated to cause this and what the shortcut or fix might be to get it back?
My normal play has no FPS issues at all, and TF2 normally runs smooth as hell.
If you can help at all I'd appreciate it.

mat_monitorgamma or mat_monitorgamma_tv_enabled
Idk what the default for monitor gamma is (I think it's around 2.3) but monitor gamma tv should be set to 0

TailorTFmat_monitorgamma or mat_monitorgamma_tv_enabled

in csgo, at least:
max monitor gamma is 2.2 (darker)
min monitor gamma is 1.6 (brighter)
default monitor gamma is 1.8 i think??? i'm not completely sure
monitor gamma tv isnt an awful feature if you like your game super bright but it does look kinda weird. idk any specifics behind it though. default is 0.

You might of hit home and brought up the windows game bar. I have it disabled but for some reason it messes with the contrast when I accidentally press home. No idea how to fix your frames tho if that is the case.

The game punished you for mashing your keyboard.

Think mat_monitorgamma_tv_enabled 1 was responsible for the paleness, so I turned that off. Not sure what was responsible for the frames dropping but it seems to have gone.
Thanks a bunch!
