I got a cheap 20$ headset a couple months ago and they've worked fine, except the sound keeps getting quieter, my volume setting for windows started at 20 and now it's at max and I can't hear it too well. What's causing this/how can I fix it?
If it can't be fixed I would like a recommendation, I would need a mic also
edit: turns out my volume wheel was turned down, didnt' even know this fucker had a volume wheel

Rockzyup, soldering
this not an option for me sadly
also for some it seems as if my volume has gotten louder overnight so now I can hear stuff at 100 volume instead of stuff being barely audible at 100

I was thinking about that but through my EXTENSIVE testing I have determined that it is in fact a problem with my headset and not my ears.
I tested it out by plugging my headset into my phone and observing that the volume was much quieter on my phone also, even when I had the volume set to max. I also tried both earpods and AirPods and I could hear them both fine at normal levels.
