change M0refont18Outline to a larger value like M0refont22Outline
Make sure it's defined first in clientscheme.res (or if you're using hypnotize's m0rehud it might be under \resource\scheme\game_fonts.res or something) - if it isn't defined in the font file, copy paste the block of code defining M0refont18Outline, rename it to M0refont22Outline and change the "tall" variable to 22
22 is just an example, you can obviously use whatever value you want

I'm trying to delete the "xp gained" animation and sound that happens after you complete a casual game. For me, if I go into the main menu, the sound pierces my ears and the animation lags the main menu, so I went into hudanimations_tf.txt to remove it. So far I think I got the animation to disappear but not the sound.

first change the format of you custom background to a vtf file, then create a copy of it an rename one background01.vtf and the other background01_widescreen.vtf save both to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\HUDculiao\materials\console

The alpha is controlled either in hudplayerhealth.res or hudanimations. Up to you how you want to control it yourself though.

Have you tried replacing the scoreboard with one from a different version of the HUD? Either an updated or outdated version, just to check? Otherwise I'd say check that there aren't any missing brackets in the scoreboard.res file.

Is there a way to stop the full medi gun names being shown in the target id?
For example if I'm being healed and the medic has a rage-inducing specialized killstreak medi gun the target id becomes annoyingly wide and threatens to overlap with my health and ammo counters.

use a font with only numbers in it.
or look for "TF_playerid_mediccharge_wpn" in your huds tf_english.txt and remove the "(%s2)" part after it.
if your hud doesnt have a tf_english.txt copy paste the one from ur tf/resource folder and put it in huds resource folder and then do it.

Well in mine I have a part called "healthbar" and it's wide is set to f0, and proportionaltoparent 1. You could try setting the wide pretty low at like 25 or something, and making proportionaltoparent 0. Then meddle around with it and see if it works with a specific wide value.
