Hey tftv,
I haven't used this forum in a long time but you guys have helped me out in the past with pc issues so here is my situation.
I just decided to start up my gaming pc that I haven't really used in 3 years after about 2 minutes of use it started to freeze and I decided to restart it because it wasn't responding. Since then every time I try to turn on the computer I get error message, a blue screen of death or just a blank screen. The only error message I got was "unmountable boot volume" ive tried to fix it using my windows cd, starting in safe mode but nothing seems to work. I think the problem is with my hard drive but im not sure. Any help is appreciated.

Try this: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/unmountable-boot-volume-windows/
i had pretty much the same issue. try #3 and recreate the MBR, it "should" fix this. windows is super gay and if you move any hard drives to a new motherboard windows freaks and can't read the MBR, thus not booting.
some part of me thinks microsoft put this into their os just to force people to buy and reinstall windows. because im certain this shit wont happen if it's linux

Just wanted to give a quick update. What happened was that my ssd broke, I re-installed windows on my harddrive. Computer is back and working.
