The problem is the community isn't like-minded on what to join. So far, the replacement alternatives I've seen include UGC, CEVO, NA ETF2L, and Nahanni's potential league.

While I'm all for ditching ESEA (as my first season was not the most pleasurable experience) and moving to another community run league, ETF2L, or CEVO, I'm just worried that if a large majority of the community is not on the same page, we'll just be separating an already small community. I'm also a bit hesitant/skeptical because there's always been a bunch of talk how everyone would leave ESEA once another league came out, but ever since CEVO came out, they've had a pretty low amount of teams signing up, and now everyone is still playing in ESEA.

After the Halloween update, whenever I launch TF2, the menu loads and then the screen goes black, then the main menu appears again. Whenever I have mumble overlay enabled, I can see my overlay working for a fraction of a second before the black screen, then the names become permanently highlighted (http://puu.sh/57x7n). Sometimes, the screen just stays black and I have to open Task Manager, then tab back into TF2 in order to play.

If anyone can help me to get mumble overlay working again, I'd appreciate it. :>

I've tried using both "blacklist" and "whitelist" and still no luck. The overlay works in Path of Exile, but not TF2.

My netgraph has incredibly high choke and loss when I freeze (I'm the person in the stream). My internet speeds are fine (anywhere from 500 down/500 up to 100 down/300 up) and I'm on an ethernet cable directly plugged into my wall. I think the problem probably lies in that I'm using university internet, and I just get incredible packet loss during peak usage hours.

What I find strange however, is that I can watch streams in 720p+ and play Borderlands 2 co-op without any problems. The packet loss in TF2 however, continues even if I'm in an empty server just jumping around. My internet does get noticeably slower at night, but it's still pretty fast. I'm going to ask the IT people tomorrow and see what's up. But if anyone else has any ideas, any help would be appreciated.

It crashes for most people on the first install, just try inputting all of your settings again and see if it works.

It's already in the hud, just type closecaption 1 into console and you should get it.
