What's really childish imo is that so many people are whiteknighting a self-proclaimed hacker with a VAC ban. I guess it's okay to cheat as long as you're a girl with horrendous english skills nowadays.

While we're on the topic of cheating I recently saw a thread of a person with a VAC ban on their main account promoting a tf2 pug group. Many people in the thread not only didn't seem to care, but even defended the ban since it was for CS:GO. It really opened my eyes on how people view cheaters.
When people actively decide to hack in games, what should their punishment be regarding competitive play?
