KevinIsPwnI love games that tell a story and have good movement. That's literally all I care about though
Play Outer Wilds. Not The Outer Worlds, Outer Wilds; maybe the best game I've ever played that I don't like purely for mechanics. It's a space exploration game with light puzzles that was super reminiscent of Myst for me. Every new thing you learn about the world organically enables you to do something else in it, unlock some new path, make use of some new tool, so my recommendation is to learn as little about it as possible before playing.
Although I said I don't mainly like it for the mechanics the movement is really fun, holding jump to crouch and releasing it to jump felt so intuitive after a while that jumping in other games felt weird afterwards.
Turn off the autopilot and jetpack assist features, I played without them and the danger of being able to build up too much speed and only realise when it's too late makes the game much more compelling in my opinion.
I'm saying nothing about the story except that it's easily in the top two game stories of anything I've played, everything is best discovered yourself.

JustASmallTownSpankHello I am chad420 and some of you may know me as the guy who plays heavy but doesn't really seem to know what to do most of the time and after playing for so many seasons of highlander, my heavy gameplay finally seems to be at a final goodbye, I was rang in the invite grand finals vs KND and was rang with malicious intent as the player who rang me knew what they were going to do through the entire match and knew that everyone was going to get banned and decided to drag me into this as well to get me banned, as a hard stuck steel player, this last 2 seasons I finally advanced up to the main division and even though its been years I really am not the best player in highlander, and I absolutely jumped on the chance to play grand finals and honestly I felt like I was on top of the world as a unknown heavy main getting asked to play against the best that highlander has to offer so I tried my absolute best even though my team was trolling to the absolute maximum, I managed to pull more damage on cascade than the best heavy in tf2 and I felt like I was invincible and so bowl of mayo asked to interview me post game and I was so happy to be in the limelight so I definitely came across as a big ego player and a troll but honestly thats just coming from where my mental state was at the time which was absolutely ecstatic about playing with the best of the best, and now everyone is banned and I got banned too but its ok because I should have thought about what I was getting into but I guess being asked to play the best team should come as a warning because who in their right mind would ring some unknown heavy player to play against the top of the league
