No rn in prem looks suspicious of cheating.
sleepysocksYrri always wondered why pro versions of snowy maps didnt use the badlands theme, it looks so much more interesting than alpine dirt, and the shit that was buried in snow before doesn't look so weird when its buried in sand instead of dirt
I always figured it was for that "thawed out" look and so you wouldn't have to change many props. You can keep the rocks the same grey color, and you don't have to get rid of any of the trees. I would wager it also means people have to do less work to the skybox as well. I think people also just think Alpine is prettier than Badlands. You would know more than me though, I'm not a mapper.
I think Coldfront and Viaduct would look odd with the Badlands theme. I think Barnblitz and Snowycoast might actually look better, but I also just hate playing them either way, "pro version" or not.
I tought the argument was always player recognistion. Red team stand our less against the red backgrounds of some maps, not gonna say I personally agree with the extent to which this matters but it makes sense.
I made this diagram to show,

I think a large peice of advice is play with whats comfortable rather than whats a competetive advantage.
I know for example I used to not want my keybaord touching my mouse pad to allow for no interference or some bullshit but it would hurt my wrists after long gameplay sessions as my keyboard was so far off to the left.
A good adjustable chair is also a good idea, you want to sit relativly upright wiht your feet flat on the floor. You want your elbows or arms to be on your desk giving you more stability.
We had an expert come and talk about this at work a while ago these are the only bits i remember unfortunatly.
I dont think its talked about enough but we arent having a bunch of new players enter the scene due to the casual experience being pretty much unplayable. I dont care whether youve won prem 10 times or are hardstuck open your first experience playing tf2 was quickplay or casual which are now dead.
Those players who have installed maybe 2 or 3 years ago and are trying out the competitive format for the first time just don't exist in the same quantity as anyone installing in that timeframe would have got headshot but cheater bots over and over and probably quit.

I have sinned, here is my redemption.
- our pocket scout "id rather be playing highlander"
- our flank scout "im missing everything IM SO FUCKING BAD" still drops 35 kills and 400 dpm
- our pocket soldier *waddle waddle waddle waddle* "I hate double scrimming"
- our roamer soldier "here is the best strat and perfect positioning on this map" *misses all rockets* and cant beat a T3
- our demo "Go rightside" *proceeds to go left* (French)
- our medic "I may be on acid during this scrim sorry"
wonderif youre toxic in one server you're perm banned from this server
if you continue this on other server you're perm banned on all servers
then you're perm banned in every tf2 league
What do you think
Lets not act like players don't often get no punishment or a 2 week or 1 month ban for being the most toxic, racist, homophobic, transphobic ect ect players in any gaming scene.
play an even team on same maps you gonna play.
