Also huge props to Dashner for staying up for an insanely long time to keep the event running!!

ImnotdannyboyWhoops, my b. I'll be back when I do a round or two of highlander.
Ehhhh... That miiight not get the best reaction either. 6v6 is the preferred format on this site.
wattersonValve- Reduced the latency of voice audioAlso, this seems interesting to me.
This is super encouraging, because I legitimately can't think of a reason to lower in game comms latency other than matchmaking... If it was for MvM they would have done it long ago, and pubs don't need it at all. I'm probably getting worked up over nothing as usual but it's still exciting.
dashnerTery_*iS: So 20b will finish 12-4, 56 RF.
Tery_*iS: Mad Men will be 12-3, 55 RF.
Tery_*iS: So if Mad Men lose and take 2 rounds, they'll be #2 seed.
Tery_*iS: If Mad Men lose and take 0 rounds, they'll be #3 seed.
Tery_*iS: If they take 1 round I think they have to do a playin match.
Tery_*iS: Since they split the head-to-head.
Tery dropping the knowledge.
Would like to take partial credit there for working that out with Tery, aka best most nicest person to write articles with NA

Thinking of picking up a 144hz, would this be a good choice? Are there other options below $350 that feature the 144/120 hz display and 1ms response time that this one does, but have a bigger display?

This is the 27" version of the Asus VG248QE that so many people have. This is the cheapest you can get it according to PC Part Picker. It is a very solid monitor, only difference is larger screen size. :)
Edit: just realized it's out of stock there, so that means this is the best place to get it: http://www.macmall.com/p/7917765?dpno=9333919&source=zwb12166

gargleburryAnn Arbor Michigan seems like a good place for you. it has good culture, you can probs walk to most places you need, i also get like 30 ping to chicago and new york servers to so.
A^2 is pretty awesome, although I wouldn't live somewhere because of good ping :P
-Weather is pretty equivalent to New York City, maybe a bit colder but not much.
-One of the few bright spots in MI economically speaking
-All kinds of awesome events and stuff because of University of Michigan, examples are the Art Fair and the Film Festival
-Similarly night life is pretty good because of UM
-Public transportation is pretty good although I don't have much experience with it.
"Total brain fart from Knutsson"
Nice to see the quality of these continue to improve. Great work guys!
downpourMedusafunfact: tf2 doesnt have an FOV sliderPheeshYes, to the laymen even bumping up your FOV is an obscure thing.No. I refuse to accept that going into the option menu is an "obscure" thing to anyone playing a video game.

I actually really hope Overwatch is just good enough to encourage Valve to do some major work on TF2 to compete, like a port to Source 2 or matchmaking. The sad thing at this point is that I doubt Overwatch is even going to be good enough to really compete with TF2. Best case it'll draw from the MOBA crowd, it seems.
Either way, we'll see at PAX in a few days how good/bad Overwatch actually is. Until then we're just speculating.
I was optimistic that Overwatch was going to be a unique take on FPS, but the more I hear about it the more dumbed-down it sounds... :/
