This is worrying news, no doubt. But when we bow to terror, the terrorists win. The best way to fight both the paranoia and the legitimate fear is to prove that the terrorists can't make us change our way of life. I'm still extremely excited for DHW, and wish I could go.

Sorry for lack of written coverage this season on my end. :( Currently working on a little preview with a few quotes (hopefully) from the players. Should be out tonight or tomorrow morning. @Snivy gj man.
Edit: I couldn't get the quotes I was hoping for, so not much I can add with a separate article. :/
Terribly sad. I'm pretty sure I walked by Le Petit Cambodge a few years ago as a tourist. Not sure what else to say really, this is just tragic. :(
KevinIsPwnAlkalineRIP watching Democratic Debate #lifeprioritiesDebate shouldn't start for an hour after the last panel ends, unless I'm incredibly stupid (this is a very big possibility)
You forget that I'll be watching all the twitch + youtube vods for the next 12 hours straight. ;)
RIP watching Democratic Debate #lifepriorities
Juicyalkaline left a pug today cause he didnt want to play medic
My internet died (not a regular occurrence), had nothing to do with playing medic. Sorry if it ruined the pug. :/
Hello all! I'm Alkaline and he is Mashpit. Hong Kong Cavaliers is dead because I won't have time to lead a team next season, but Mashpit and I would love to continue playing together again in S21. Both of us have only played the one ESEA season, but just in case here's our ESEA history pages: Alkaline, Mashpit
Although my first choice would be to play scout, I played pocket for a decent bit of last season and would be OK with playing that too. Medic would also be fun. Mashpit is scout only. Any server location is fine, and both of us have pretty flexible schedules (excepting weekends).
We would really like to be on a bubble+ team; we both have good DM skills and learned a lot playing in our first season... We feel like with our experience playing together, we're ready to work hard and hopefully make playoffs (or come really close). In scrims and matches, we take the game seriously. Outside scrims and matches, we're eager to review demos, do map reviews, etc. We both take criticism well, neither of us rage or emo out, and we're not weebs. Give us a shot!
I am no longer LFT due to scheduling constraints, Mashpit is LFT here (pick him up!): http://www.teamfortress.tv/27730/lft-open-scout
Without speaking for enigma or tftv, I believe the idea behind removing Open, IM, and HL coverage is that all of the energy of the tftv writers can be increasingly focused on Invite/Prem, which means more of the beat articles about roster transactions and more *cough* consistent *cough* articles about Invite, etc. That's more esports-ish which is good, but it's less community focused which is less so. I'm honestly not sure whether I personally agree with it or not, but that does seem to be the long term plan. Make of it what you will.
Megalinx has mad DM. He will put out big damage and hit all of the pipes. That being said, your team needs to give him heals for him to do the damage effectively. He plays aggressively, so if he doesn't get the tank heals in stalemates he won't always do as well. He's also pretty quiet. Altogether, a good mid-open demo imo, could def be bubble if he finds the right team who will play around him. Give him a shot!
Dex was a fun guy to play with in S20. He comms well, his DM is solid as is his gamesense. If he continues putting in the time, he will definitely be a good bubble (even playoffs) scout for S21. He still needs to continue working on his positioning as medic, but could def play at a bubble level on that class, too. Bear in mind that his ping will be terrible on any server that isn't Colorado. And sometimes Colorado as well.
Bottom line is that he's a nice kid who deserves a good team. I don't think he's the kind of fragger who carries teams per say, but he will be that guy who always performs well, gets the frags he should, and improves the mumble atmosphere too. Pick him up!
Can we please not get into another pointless debate about fundraisers?
If you would like to see Epsilon play at DHW enough that it's worth x amount of $ to you to see that, then donate. Help them get there, and it'll be an awesome tournament!
If you think that Epsilon don't merit a contribution for whatever reason (lack of dedication to the game, they should get jobs, etc.), then the best way to tell them that isn't to throw a fit, it's to not donate. No one asked you to, so don't take it personally that they have a fundraiser.
All they're doing is saying "hey guys, we want to play at DHW, and we might need a bit of help to get there. So if you'd like to chip in a bit, that would be awesome." They're not expecting everyone or anyone in particular to contribute, including you! So let's just chill, and look forward to an awesome tournament in a few weeks!
*this isn't targeted at any of the above posts, rather at the inevitable future posts & argument about the fundraiser.
Sign up, do it now. I don't care whether you know if all your gamers will be able to play or not, find the fraggers and subs later, it's easy af to add people to your Razer roster whenever, there's not even a roster lock.
I swear all this community does sometimes is whine about no tournaments ever and boohoo why won't anyone recognize us as esports, and then here's a huge $1000 month-long tournament on an amazing platform with Swiss system and it's been like 5 days since registration opened and there's no more than 3 teams for any of the tournaments, 1-2 for most of them.
Also your link is to SDB's most recent frag video, not monitors but it was a sick frag clip so I can respect it anyway.
It won't help you as much as it helps scout or sniper mains, but it will help. A lot. Not only is it waaay more enjoyable to play with 144hz, but it really, really helps you hit the "quick" things in the game, flick directs and airshots, checking behind you, etc.
You're in for a treat! :D
