Based on the video linked, a "ton" of drag is an overstatement. There was barely any difference in the way that the iron bomber and stock pipes moved, even accounting for random spread, and the differences were hardly noticeable until the pipes were near max range anyway. Maybe the iron bomber is slightly more consistent, but I feel like any obvious difference in practical gameplay should just be attributed to placebo.
Optimistically I wanna say it's a good way to show valve that we're willing to work with them and play the game more like it seems they want it to be played, and hopefully get them to work with us on rebalancing weapons and supporting the game. However that seems like kind of a long shot and I am in no way looking forward to pushing last against natascha and rescue ranger and fighting mids against the powerjack and the atomizer until valve does something, if they ever even do.
BBiA_duchessFor the first 1000 hours you play the game bots on expert mode can pose some sort of a challenge
jerking it three times in a row is sort of a challenge too but that doesn't mean it'll make you better at tf2
I think this is as close to what you're looking for as possible. It'll get kind of screwy if you use the mousewheel to switch weapons though.
alias "switch_to_3" "slot3; bind e switch_to_2"
alias "switch_to_2" "slot2; bind e switch_to_3"
bind e "switch_to_3"
bind "1" "slot1"
bind "2" "slot2; bind e switch_to_3"
bind "3" "slot3; bind e switch_to_2"
It segfaults and crashes every time on startup for me now. I tried reinstalling the game but it didn't change.
I have both Windows 10 and Arch on my laptop, and I seem to get about the same number of frames (~70) on both. Matchmaking sometimes makes it crash on the first game I try to connect to, but after I get started it usually works smoothly. Also on Arch tf2 takes about 4 minutes to start compared to about 10 seconds with windows, which I don't quite understand.
I know this isn't really a HUD question, but idk where else to ask it. Does anyone know where to get that soft explosion killsound that's in the eXtelevision fragvids like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqhohxWBKu4
