Played in a scrim of ours yesterday and was a lot of fun to have in Mumble. Good scout!!
Had Applesauz play with us. He did well and was able to off-class sniper and spy proficiently. He also had a good attitude in Mumble.
Oh, and he gets bonus points for being a Game of Thrones fan. :)
Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim
Bastion
Recettear
Fallout 3
Civilization series
Final Fantasy VII, Tactics
Etrian Odyssey

I think a lot of gamers can relate to using video games as a way to cope with depression...
And by this I mean that the video brings up valid, interesting points.
TwilitlordA couple things: configs should actually still work in tf/cfg, that's where I've been editing mine and they work fine. They rolled over there too. Maps are better put into tf/maps so that they show up in the dropdown menu for a local match (if you still use the menu command and not the console, I guess).
I had been editing my cfg in the custom/userstuff folder - it was reading those changes just fine, so I ended up deleting the redundant files in the tf/cfg because it seems odd to have two different configs in my TF2 folders. Deleting the duplicated (and for me, out of date) cfg files seems to be fine.
We're still open for tryouts, fellow soldiers!!
:D
dellortArryEat less, lift heavy weights
Those two basically contradict each other. If you plan on doing heavier weights you need to be consuming more calories and proteins to help repair muscles after the fact.
That's assuming you want to put on muscle mass. You have to consume less calories than you burn, is what I mean. I lost more than 50 lbs - that's what worked for me. :)
LordOfThePingWhat kind beginner free weight exercises are good for burning some calories? I'm not sure where to begin other than light weight, 3 sets of 12 reps ish routines. She doesn't need to get buff, just something to help with weight loss and a little tone.
Unless she is in poor health, lose the easy beginner mentality. Light weights and trying to tone isn't going to do anything remarkable. As some people have pointed out, she should be doing squats and lifts also.
Bottom line: Eat less, lift heavy weights, and do more intense cardio. That goes for anyone trying to lose body fat. Most important thing is consistency.
Come play with us! :)
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. It's so cute. You play an adorable little girl who runs an item shop, selling your merchandise to adventurers and going into dungeons to collect things to sell!
People already mentioned Bastion and Don't Starve, but I think they're both worth reiterating.
Maybe get Morrowind and install some nice mods to update the graphics? The main quest has so much more depth than its TES: IV & V successors.
A Song of Ice and Fire! Of course. Feels so cliche to mention it now that the show is out and it's so popular. :) But still, it's super good.
The Dune series! Including the many of the prequels and such, but I still haven't gotten through them all.
Stranger in a Strange Land.
The Bell Jar.
Also, I kiiiinda really liked The Hunger Games trilogy for the revolutionary themes. Too bad it was so poorly written. :(
Flute, alto flute, and piccolo. Mostly flute though. I have a penny whistle and wooden flute I play around on sometimes as well.
Also, I've been teaching myself the harp.
