I must say, am I the only who finds the AWP nerf really familiar feeling? Not saying it's a good nerf, but gameplay wise, it really feels like TF2 sniping on bodyshot mode because of the movement speed debuff while scoped.

WOOOOO! This is beautiful! A perfect blend of new and old. Thank you, enigma. :D
Two things I thought I'd mention, since I've been visiting this site too many times to not try and provide some input.
My biggest issue with the new website is how boring, flat, and just... unattractive it looks. I understand that it's clean(ish), new flat style, etc. But I can't help but be uninterested when I open this page up. Even though the main page on the old TF.TV had sort of out of date pictures and news on it all the time, it really added to the color and attractiveness of the page, as I'd always either a) Laugh at the art (medic faces are the ze best), or b) Admire the artwork before looking to the left bar for recent forum news. The new main page is great for looking at all the forum stuff, but it really turns me off when everything is looking so boring.
^ Just remember, this is my own OPINION. If I'm the only person here that misses the big, bright artwork on the main page and the color, then just completely ignore me and what I just said, since I'm probably the weirdo who lives in the past and still really likes skeuomorphism.
2nd thing that's more of a question the people reading: Does anyone else have a poor scrolling framerate on this site? Whenever I start to scroll, there's about a 0.5 second delay before it starts to scroll, and instead of scrolling smoothly, it jerks up/down. I have a strong suspicion that it's related to my laptop and its resolution since I'm on a Retina Macbook, but I currently have no other computer to access/test it out, so I thought I'd ask the readers here about it.
I want to hitthere, but you're also a sweetheart. Guess I'll hithere then. <3
I know it’s (probably way too early), but honestly speaking, with some tweaks to some of the power ups, obvious player number restrictions, and more knowledge of whether the spawn locations are randomized or set, I could see this easily being a competitive game mode. Like what other people on this thread have said, it's rather similar to Quake, and as a Soldier in this game mode, you have some insane mobility with the RL and the hook, and a lot of skill can be developed here. Ignoring the idea of seeing a fat Russian with a full crit power up fly through the air and mow everyone down from behind, what do you guys think?
Let me say this right now: The Haste power up is fucking ridiculous. You get Negev-style fire rate, a speed boost, and insane reload speed. Enjoy it while it lasts, everyone.
Off topic, but can anyone imagine this kid doing Overwatch in CSGO? Good lord...
ShawnHow do you change the health and ammo font? the font I currently have shows 2... for health instead of 200.
Here. Another user had the same problem and I did too. I answered it a couple pages back in this thread, I'll copy/paste the relevant data.
I've actually had that same problem ever since I first downloaded this HUD, but I found a simple enough workaround that it didn't bother me too much. I downloaded it again, and the problem still persists, with the first number of your health visible and the rest as "...", so the other guy isn't the only one having this problem. In case you want to know what my "fix" was, I'll paste it below.Bold indicates what I changed from the default.
"PlayerStatusHealthValue"
{
"ControlName" "CExLabel"
"fieldName" "PlayerStatusHealthValue"
"xpos" "c-132"
"ypos" "c94"
"zpos" "5"
"wide" "70"
"tall" "40"
"visible" "1"
"enabled" "1"
"labelText" "%Health%"
"textAlignment" "center"
"textinsetx" “9"
"font" "FluxFontHudAmmo"
"fgcolor" "FluxColorWhite"
}
"PlayerStatusHealthValueShadow"
{
"ControlName" "CExLabel"
"fieldName" "PlayerStatusHealthValueShadow"
"xpos" "c-131"
"ypos" "c95"
"zpos" "4"
"wide" "70"
"tall" "40"
"visible" “0"
"enabled" "1"
"labelText" "%Health%"
"textAlignment" "center"
"textinsetx" "10"
"font" "FluxFontHudAmmo"
"fgcolor" "Black"
}
The default numbers were 10 and 1, respectively. Changing the "textinsetx" to 9 under PlayerStatusHealthValue makes the HUD show the correct health, with none of the "..." while the appearance seems perfectly normal. Of course, the Shadowing behind the numbers still has the "..." problem, but that's why I simply turned it off, both because I didn't like the shadowing, and because it fixed the problem.
Hope this solves your problem~!
@huhy, how could you not add WarOwl's stream to the list?
He streams reasonably often, and offers very useful/helpful tips while matchmaking or ESEA pugging. Not to mention he's just very enjoyable to watch/listen to. And when the CEVO season was active, the CEVO streams were very helpful to watch too. But yeah, besides that, excellent list.
And TheJester, another thing that helped me a lot to get into CS:GO was watching commentary's, since positioning is so important in this game. If you check the streams list often enough, you should be able to watch tournaments and matches being cast, but for more "whenever you want to watch" type of stuff and in-depth explanations, WarOwl's YouTube channel is really helpful.

I know, it looks like I'm advertising this guy, but seriously, his channel is pretty neat.
Hope I contributed~!
flatlineI'm assuming that is a 4x3 resolution--in that case I have still not optimized flathud for that resolution and things may be off center.
1440x900 is a 16:10 aspect ratio. I also have the same issues as Klondike, although not as severe, where it's just light clipping, so I don't mind as much. Looking fabulous though, for v1.4.
Could anyone help me with this problem I'm having? Every time I try to say, enable a crosshair in the hudlayout.res like changing the visible to "1", when I use hud_reloadscheme in-game, either nothing happens and I'm still staring at the stock crosshairs, or I get error messages like these in the console:
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got NULL key in file scripts/HudLayout.res
Resource/HudLayout.res, xHairCircle,
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got EOF instead of keyname in file scripts/HudLayout.res
Resource/HudLayout.res, (*xHairCircle*),
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res
Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res, Continue,
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res
Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res, Continue2,
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res
Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res, Continue,
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res
Resource/UI/IntroMenu.res, Continue2,
I don't really understand what's the problem, since I'm merely changing a single number and nothing else, I didn't delete any curvy thingies or mess up the formatting. So yeah, help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Oh, I'm using a Mac, by the way, since I have no doubt that'll make a difference.
fluxSo I need help from a mac user.
As i had a mac user run into a problem with font not working only for Ammo/Charge and Health
this is from ozfortress thread☾Moonbeam☽Not quite sure if it is just me being dumb, but I get the age old [1...] as a reading for health pools on players and for your own health in the bottom right of the HUD. Is there a fix for this already? I feel like it must be something I missed.
To fix the problem we have tried different fonts, increasing the wide in those folders (when doing this font disappears completely).
Just need another mac user to install hud and test if they are getting same problem
Help is much appreciated.

On a side note, have you fixed the MvM Refund Upgrade credit problem? Because the last time I played MvM with this HUD, there was no button to click to refund upgrades in the MvM store once a player has earned the credits, so yeah, thought I'd throw it out there while I'm typing this.
Hope I helped, and that I wasn't too confusing! Love your HUD. :D
