A Valve server on cp_dustbowl. I initially tried Sniper, as that is the closest feeling to my old FPS game since, you have a sniper rifle and an SMG. Scoped in, bodyshot a soldier, he didn't die and I thought the game was completely stupid because "sniper shots are supposed to one shot kill!"

Sal's casting videos definitely got me into competitive TF2.
hookyDX8 gives people more fps. It was quite significant prior to the update, but maybe mat_phong helps enough to make the increase insignificant. I doubt it, though.
Edit: Essentially below
I tested dx9 with the mat_phong thing, it was less laggy but compared to dx81, still laggier.
Now I can stop fearing the invisble Cow Mangler rockets...but no fixes for the Gullywash damaging spawns?
Does it even matter? Which gives better FPS, etc.
Which one gives better performance? Are there any cons with windowed-noborder?
In my opinion, you shouldn't NEED to spam your mouse button quickly to flash. Instead just take your time and aim. What I like to think of is, imagine that you're just normally healing the people you want to uber. When you heal, do you go click-click-click-click back and forth targets? Usually no. So treat ubers the same way, just click, then click, etc.
In short: just switch heal targets normally, as long as you KNOW where they are (and have a stable aim), you shouldn't ever have the issue of dropping them.
hpqoeuturning healing markers off fixed all beam issues for me
The display marker is off. The beam is fine, I see it and all except when I uber, then it disappears and leaves only particles.
Although the beam was fixed months ago, there is still this issue. Whenever I uber (Kritz or standard), the beam will disappear, and then once the uber is over, the beam returns. Is there a fix?
Really awesome guy! He's a great friend and he's very good. His DM isn't super amazing, but it's decent enough as he has said. His game sense is phenomenal, it's really good. Try him out.
Finally updated to 2.6, loving it!
This team has good potential. They're very fun to be around and are nice. They are also looking to improve as a team.
Please get them a Medic!
In dx8 the beam will disappear if, in your advanced options, have "show marker on player being healed" turned on or whatever it's called under the Medic section.
Exactly what does it do and should it be turned off or on?
Deep is just a SUPER amazing roamer. He knows where to be holding, his DM is super nice, and his jumps of course are great. Definitely super solid and mind-blowing!
Also his personality is nice. He listened to what needed to happen and maintained a positive attitude.
