I was wondering if it even exists, but is there a command where you can disable the chat? That way, you can't see what anyone types.

I personally don't game with music IF it's serious. Otherwise, casual gaming (Pubs, DM, MGE, etc) I just listen to whatever I normally would. I personally wouldn't make a different playlist for the sake of gaming.

In short, listen to what you normally listen to.

Final Fantasy: Crisis Core (I think?) was a good PSP game I heard.

Take a deep breath, and instead of thinking, "OMG THIS TEAM IS SO ****ING BAD, WE'RE ****" just calm down and think about what you can do to adapt. If all fails, focus on smaller aspects. For example, focus on winning the midfight, etc.

How fast can you currently type? It would seem a bit painful to just use index fingers, but if it works for you and you can type fast AND comfortably, go for it.

Even if it could be done, in terms of competitive play, if playing in ESEA or servers with sv_pure 2 (or whatever the command is) wouldn't that disable it?

Off if I'm playing seriously, on if I'm just pubbing/fooling around. Melee is always on.

Hello! Our team currently known as All in With Allen is needing a scout starter. Our other scout has personal issues going on and won't be able to play. We would like to have a scout that can play at a high open level, we are looking to make playoffs.

Closed captions aren't completely "reliable". Sure it says "Medic masked call!" or "Medic called!/has uber!" or whatever, but that doesn't mean it's true. It just means the medic said that, and anything the closed captions pick up you can always hear. "Soldier's hurt!" is also another example. Your teammates can easily call that out if you don't already hear the grunt.

Personally, I just find it to be another distraction on the field, I mean after all you DO have to LOOK at it, and those moments can mean missing a shot or not.

Overall, no harm no foul in using it. It's all preference. Some benefit a lot from it while others don't like it for whatever reason. Bottom line, in my opinion, it's not "overpowered"

How do you guys feel about being a gamer, whether you're a casual or a competitive one? Is it something you try to hide or do you take pride in it?

Btw we tend to scrim from 9:00 EST to 11:00 EST on most weekdays. It may start later/and sooner, but that's our typical schedule. Monday and weekends are typically days off (for HL or hanging out or whatever).

In the end, it's all preference. Even if you have different sensitivities for each class, you'll still develop the muscle memory for every single class's sensitivity.
