Hello, i'm gonna get to the point here, for a couple years I've struggled to make TF2 reach a high, comfy-for-my-eyes framerate. Thing is, I've tried many approaches; configs, dxlevel <90, removing some custom stuff, but I still can't get my game to stay barely above 120fps during gunfights, dropping from like 280. My refresh rate is 144hz
So I'm just wondering, since I've heard the game is rather cpu-heavy, is there anything that can actually be done to reach a higher framerate than 120
I kno very little about that stuff. Here are my specs since they'll be probably needed:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700KF CPU @ 3.60GHz, 32gb RAM, RTX2070S and i dont fuckin know whatever else is needed
i've heard that if your PC is somewhat powerful and you play on ultralow, it can have a negative impact too
pls help
